Nikola Gápová
Nikola Gápová (born 19 June 1989) is a Slovak retired ice hockey forward. International career Gápová was selected for the Slovakia national women's ice hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympics. She played in all five games, but did not score a point. She played all three games of the qualifying campaigns for the 2010 and 2014 Olympics. Gápová has also appeared for Slovakia at five IIHF Women's World Championships, across three levels. Her first appearance came in 2007. Poprad
Poprad (; hu, Poprád; german: Deutschendorf) is a city in northern Slovakia at the foot of the High Tatra Mountains, famous for its picturesque historic centre and as a holiday resort. It is the biggest town of the Spiš region and the tenth largest city in Slovakia, with a population of approximately 50,000. 2013 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I
The Division I Group A tournament was held at DNB Arena in Stavanger, Norway, from 7 to 13 April 2013. The Division I Group B was contested from 8 to 14 April 2013 at Patinoire Iceberg in Strasbourg, France. The winners of the Division I Group A were initially presumed to be promoted to the 2015 Top Division. However, with the Divisions I and II playing in an Olympic year, and the eight Olympic entries being in none of those tournaments, it was determined that the last placed Olympic team will play a challenge series with the 2014 Division I Group A champion for promotion to the 2015 Top Division. Hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics was held at Rogers Arena (then known as GM Place, and renamed ''Canada Hockey Place'' for the duration of the Games due to IOC sponsorship rules) in Vancouver, home of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, and at UBC Winter Sports Centre, home of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport's UBC Thunderbirds. Twelve teams competed in the men's event and eight teams competed in the women's event. Canada won both tournaments with victories against the United States, while Finland won both bronze games, however against different opponents.
