Nikhil Baran Sengupta
Nikhil Baran Sengupta (13 December 1943 – 18 February 2014) was a Hindi, Bengali, and Oriya art director, actor, painter and production designer. He made his debut as an art-director with "Gapa hele be Sata" (1975). His contribution to the success of films such as Janani (1984), Sahari Bagha (1985), Maa O Mamata, Suna Chadhei (1987), Jugantar, Tahader Katha, Bagh Bahadur (1989) and Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002) had always been acknowledged but less talked about. In his 40 years of career span in the film industry, he was instrumental in encouraging young talents from Orissa to take center stage. In 1994, he was awarded as the Best Art Director for "Janani" and in 2009, he was awarded the Guru Kelu Charan award in the lifetime achievement category. Prashanta Nanda (born 2 May 1947) is an Indian director, actor and politician from the state of Odisha. ''Shivalika'' is the first 3D animation movie from Odisha, India. Production began in 2010 and completed in January, 2013. The film stars young actors Aman Siddiqui (''Bhootnath'') and Sparsh Khanchandani ('' Parvarrish''). Synopsis This story is about a small boy named Nadu (Aman Siddiqui) who lost his parents several years earlier due to an evil spirit. ''Yugant'' ( en, What the Sea Said) is a 1995 Bengali drama movie directed by Aparna Sen. The movie featured Anjan Dutt and Roopa Ganguly. Plot Deepak and Anasuya are an estranged couple, now leading separate lives in Cuttack and Bombay. They meet again after 18 months of separation, at a small fishing village where they had once honeymooned. Though driven apart by their careers, Deepak and Anasuya realize that their feelings for each other have not changed, and slowly they struggle for reconciliation.
