''Nijaat'' ( ur, , English: Liberation) is an eighteen-episode Pakistani television drama serial produced by PTV. The drama shows the different roles of women in Pakistan. It compares the women in the village to the urban women. It emphasizes family planning, child labor and community health reforms. After many years PTV Home Reshowned it From 16 May 2020, Daily at 12.00 P.M in PTV Gold Hour. Plot This drama is based on the interwinding stories of three families in a village in Sindh, Pakistan: Zareena, a health worker, and her family; Sajida and Huzoor Bakhsh, who have so many children that Sajida has very poor health; and Ali Asad, a local government worker ( Assistant Commissioner), and his wife Tania. Sahira Kazmi
Sahira Kazmi (born 8th April 1950) is a retired Pakistani actress, producer and director. She is best known for her role in the country's first-ever colour series '' Parchaiyan'' (1976) and for producing the cult-classic blockbuster series '' Dhoop Kinare'' (1987) and the acclaimed drama ''Nijaat'' (1993). Early life Kazmi was born on 13 June 1946 in Bombay to Shyam and Mumtaz Qureshi (also known as Taaji), both actors and prominent figures in the film industry of British India. However, after her father Shyam's tragic death in 1951, her family moved to Karachi, which was part of the new state of Pakistan. Sahira's mother, Mumtaz remarried a Pakistani entrepreneur with the surname Ansari. Sahira and her brother Shaakir changed their surnames and became Sahira Ansari and Shakir Ansari. Asghar Nadeem Syed (اصغر ندیم سید) (born 14 January 1950) is a Pakistani playwright, TV drama serial writer and poet. He has written shows for the Pakistani state channel, PTV, STN. Early life and career Syed was born in 1950 in the city of Multan.
