Nihad Awad
Nihad Awad (Arabic: نهاد عوض) is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Early life Nihad Awad was born in Amman New Camp, a Palestinian refugee camp in Amman, Jordan. He studied at Second Amman Preparatory School for Boys, located at the camp and belongs to UNRWA, and at Salaheddine High School in Achrafieh in Jordan. He moved to Italy and later to the United States to pursue his university studies. Career After studying civil engineering at the University of Minnesota in the 1990s, he worked at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. After the Gulf War, he was Public Relations Director for the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP). In June 1994, IAP President Omar Ahmad and Rafiq Jabir founded the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and Awad was hired as the Executive Director. Nihad Hasanović
Nihad Hasanović is a Bosnian writer and translator born in Bihać (Yugoslavia, now northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 1974. His published works include the plays ''Podigni visoko baklju'' (''Raise high your torch'', 1996) and ''Zaista?'' (''Really?'', 2001), the collection of prose ''Kad su narodi nestali'' (''When people disappear'', 2003) and the novels ''O roštilju i raznim smetnjama'' (''Concerning the barbecue and sundry disruptions'', 2008.) and ''Čovjek iz podruma'' (''The basement man'', 2013.). He has also published his poetry, essays and translations (from French, and occasionally English and Spanish) in various literary journals, both paper-based and on-line. Nihad Hrustanbegovic
Nihad Hrustanbegović (born 7 June 1973) is a Bosnian-Dutch composer, accordionist and pianist from Amsterdam. He is considered to be one of the most prominent and successful solo concert accordion artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Netherlands. Music Education Nihad began his music education at 9 at the music school in Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At 15, he attended the Music College at the University of Tuzla, Between 1988 and 1991, Nihad won five prizes as accordionist at the Concurs for Music Students of Bosnia and former Yugoslavia, among them three prizes as soloist. In 1995 he continued his music education in the Netherlands at the College for Arts in Arnhem at the Messiaen Academy – a master of music performance program where he received training from Miny Dekkers and Gerie Daanen. Nihad Đedović (born January 12, 1990) is a Bosnian professional basketball player for Unicaja of the Liga ACB. He also represented the Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team internationally. Professional career Đedović started his career with KK Bosna, but FC Barcelona signed him when he was just 16 years old. He never got a real chance to play in Barcelona, and spent most of the time on loans in Cornellà, Obradoiro and with Virtus Roma. After leaving Barcelona, he played for Galatasaray and Alba Berlin.
