''Nightwalkin is the second album by American singer Alisha. It was released in the US in 1987 by RCA Records. Background Pre-production for ''Nightwalkin began in early 1986 after Alisha's initial success on the club charts. With the help of Mark S. Berry, she was able gain attention from major labels and signed with RCA Records for release of her second album. It was released in 1987 and, like her first album, was produced solely by Berry. It featured a more percussion-driven, synth-pop sound rather than the freestyle, electronic club sound on her debut. The album was intended to help Alisha crossover into a more mainstream artist. Singles and chart performance "Into My Secret" was released as the lead single, peaking at No. 9 on the Hot Dance US charts, and No. 97 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in August 1987. Alisha Ann Itkin (born April 16, 1968) is an American freestyle and dance-pop singer who had several club hits in the 1980s and 1990s. Early life and career Alisha was born on April 16, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York City. At age 8, she began receiving vocal lessons and was coaxed into the music business by her parents, who arranged for studio recording sessions and recitals. At age 14, she joined the rock/dance group The Babysitters in Brooklyn, and recorded a demo that her parents started shopping to various record companies. Vanguard Records brought the tape to producer Mark S. Berry, who had been looking for a vocalist for what would become Alisha's first single "All Night Passion". Released in February 1984, the single became a club hit, peaking at No. 4 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. ''Bounce Back'' is the third and final album from American freestyle and dance-pop singer Alisha. It was her first album released by MCA Records after leaving RCA Records. Background After failing to garner mainstream success with her second album ''Nightwalkin''', Alisha parted with RCA Records and signed a new deal with MCA Records for her third album. MCA's president at the time Al Teller had contacted producer Michael Jay to ask if he would produce Alisha's album. Jay went on to produce ''Bounce Back'', and it was released in May 1990. The album became her only appearance on the Billboard Top 200 chart, where it peaked at No. 166 in July 1990. The album lasted on the chart for a total of four weeks. Cindy Valentine (Valentine Cinzia Leone) is an Italian-born composer, producer, actress and performing artist, raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada who is now a U.S. citizen, residing primarily in New York, New York. ''Alisha'' is the debut album by American freestyle and dance-pop artist Alisha. It was released in the US in 1985 by Vanguard Records. Background At age 14, Alisha got the attention of producer Mark S. Berry when a demo tape of hers got to him through Vanguard Records. Berry was looking for a vocalist for the track "All Night Passion" and after its success, he went on to produce her debut album. The album was released on 12" vinyl in 1985. The original vinyl release contains the album versions of "Stargazing" and "Baby Talk". The album was released on CD in 1986, and the original mixes of "Stargazing" and "Baby Talk" were replaced by their extended dance mixes. "Baby Talk" was originally recorded by Gregg Brown and released in the UK in 1984, and "One Little Lie", written by singer-songwriter Kirsty MacColl, was recorded by Anni-Frid Lyngstad of ABBA, and released on her 1984 album '' Shine''. Bruce Roberts is an American singer and songwriter. His songs have been recorded by such artists as The Pointer Sisters, Donna Summer, Barbra Streisand, Jeffrey Osborne, Whitney Houston and Laura Branigan. He has released three albums as a solo artist including ''Intimacy'' (1995), which featured musical and vocal contributions by many notable artists; Elton John and Kristine W contributed to the single "When the Money's Gone". Graham David Fellows (born 22 May 1959) is an English actor and musician, best known for releasing the 1978 single "Jilted John", which reached #4 on the UK Singles Chart, and creating the comedic character John Shuttleworth in 1986. Jilted John Fellows was a drama student at Manchester Polytechnic when he first came to prominence in August 1978 as the eponymous singer of the novelty record "Jilted John", a first-person narrative of a boorish, bitter teenager with a thick Essex accent whose girlfriend Julie had left him for another boy named Gordon, "just 'cause he's better lookin' than me, just 'cause he's cool and trendy". Billy Livsey is an American songwriter, keyboardist, and producer originally from St. Louis, Missouri and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. He has worked with many musicians including Tina Turner, Kevin Ayers, Phil Manzanera, 801, Gerry Rafferty, Five Star, Gallagher and Lyle, Ronnie Lane, Kenny Rogers, and Rodney Crowell. Bright Light Bright Light incorporates many elements of nu-disco into his music, also branching into synthpop, dance and house music.
