Nightmare Of You (album)
''Nightmare of You'' is the debut studio album by American Rock music, rock band Nightmare of You. Background and production The Movielife broke up in September 2003; guitarist Brandon Reilly (musician), Brandon Reilly formed Nightmare of You the following month, with the intention of making more pop-oriented music. As news was being spread that Reilly had started a new band, several demos (with Hot Rod Circuit drummer Mike Poorman) were posted online in January 2004. By this point, the band consisted of him and guitarist Joe McCaffery; they had written 15 songs. The following month, former Movielife bassist Phil Navetta had joined the band; drummer Sammy Siegler would be added sometime after. In June 2004, the band toured the east coast with My Chemical Romance, Boys Night Out (band), Boys Night Out, and Driveby. In January 2005, Navetta left the band, leaving them as a three-piece. The Mavericks
The Mavericks are an American country music band from Miami, Florida. The band consists of Raul Malo (lead vocals, guitar), Paul Deakin (drums), Eddie Perez (lead guitar), and Jerry Dale McFadden (keyboards). Malo and Deakin founded the band in 1989 along with Robert Reynolds (bass guitar) and Ben Peeler (lead guitar). After one independent album, the band was signed by MCA Nashville Records and David Lee Holt replaced Peeler on lead guitar; he would be replaced by Nick Kane shortly after their second MCA album and third overall 1994's '' What a Crying Shame''. The band recorded a total of four albums for MCA and one for Mercury Records before disbanding in 2000. Lap Steel Guitar
The lap steel guitar, also known as a Hawaiian guitar, is a type of steel guitar without pedals that is typically played with the instrument in a horizontal position across the performer's lap. Unlike the usual manner of playing a traditional acoustic guitar, in which the performer's fingertips press the strings against frets, the pitch of a steel guitar is changed by pressing a polished steel bar against plucked strings (from which the name "steel guitar" derives). Though the instrument does not have frets, it displays markers that resemble them. Lap steels may differ markedly from one another in external appearance, depending on whether they are acoustic or electric, but in either case, do not have pedals, distinguishing them from pedal steel guitar.
