Nightbreaker
''Nightbreaker'' is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Riot. It was the band's first release with vocalist Mike DiMeo, as well as the studio debut of guitarist Mike Flyntz and bassist Pete Perez. The album was released in Japan by Sony Music in 1993, in Europe by Rising Sun Productions in 1994, and finally re-issued in the United States by Metal Blade Records in 1999, all with different cover artwork. A very limited run of CDs, bearing the Combat Pay Music label and utilizing the Japanese artwork, was also produced in 1993 by the band's management. "Burn" is a cover of the title track of Deep Purple's album of 1974; "A Whiter Shade of Pale" is a cover Procol Harum's hit single of 1967; "Outlaw" is a re-recorded song from Riot's 1981 album ''Fire Down Under''. Riot V, formerly known as Riot, is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1975 by guitarist Mark Reale. Reaching peak in popularity in the early 1980s, the band has continued a long-running successful career. Riot's sound initially started out as straightforward heavy metal, but since their 1988 release ''Thundersteel'', their musical style has shifted a little towards power metal. In 2013, surviving members of the band re-incarnated the band to Riot V, after the death of founding member, guitarist, main songwriter and leader Mark Reale. The group uses a baby seal face as a logo on its album covers. Bobby Jarzombek
Bobby Jarzombek is an American musician of Polish and German ancestry who is currently the drummer for country music legend George Strait. Bobby also has been a drummer for: vocalist Sebastian Bach, and progressive metal band Fates Warning. He has a brother named Ron Jarzombek, who is a guitarist. He has also recorded and toured extensively with the bands Halford and Riot and worked with Fates Warning offshoot Arch/Matheos, Iced Earth, Rob Rock, John West, Spastic Ink, and Juggernaut, among others. As of August 2021 Jarzombek has been the tour drummer for Country Artist George Strait. Jarzombek is noted for, somewhat uniquely, positioning cymbals behind him, usually over his left and right shoulders, for shoulder hits while playing. Mark Reale
Mark Reale (June 7, 1955 – January 25, 2012) was an American guitarist who was the sole consistent and founding member of the heavy metal band Riot (now known as Riot V). Biography Reale was born in Brooklyn, New York City, in 1955. He grew up listening to the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore and lists George Harrison as one of his greatest influences. After attending concerts by Ronnie Montrose, Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter he decided to become a guitarist, forming the band Riot in 1975 who are still active to the present day. Mike DiMeo
Mike DiMeo (born November 29, 1968, in New York City) is an American hard rock/ heavy metal vocalist, best known for his work in the band Riot, which he left in late 2006. He recorded six studio albums and one live album with the group before departing to join Masterplan for the recording of '' MK II'' in 2006. Deep Purple Mike was known only in the New York club scene when asked by Ritchie Blackmore to join Deep Purple. In 1992, he recorded some demos with Roger Glover for what later became '' The Battle Rages On...''. The rest of the band decided against Blackmore's wishes to reunite with Ian Gillan instead, and the recorded demos have never been released. ''Riot in Japan – Live!!'' is the second live album by the American heavy metal band Riot, recorded in June 1990 in Osaka and Tokyo, and first released in 1992 by Sony Music Japan. It marks the debut by bassist Pete Perez (Karion, Spastic Ink) who replaced Don Van Stavern at the end of the U.S. leg of ''The Privilege of Power'' tour. This album was taken from Front of House console mixes by sound man George Geranios. There was no multi-track recording made. In 1999, the album was issued in the U.S. as ''Live in Japan'' by Metal Blade Records. Keith Stuart Brian Reid (born 19 October 1946 Allmusic.com biography by Jason Ankeny/ref>) is a lyricist and songwriter who wrote the lyrics of every song released by Procol Harum that was not previously recorded by someone else, with the exception of the songs on their 2017 album ''Novum''. Biography Reid grew up in London and is Jewish, the son of a Holocaust survivor. He left school at an early age to pursue a songwriting career. Gary Brooker (29 May 1945 – 19 February 2022) was an English singer and pianist, and the founder and lead singer of the rock band Procol Harum. Early life Born in Hackney Hospital, East London, on 29 May 1945, Brooker grew up in Hackney before the family moved out to Middlesex (Bush Hill Park and then to nearby Edmonton). His father Harry Brooker was a professional musician, playing pedal steel guitar with Felix Mendelssohn's Hawaiian Serenaders, and as a child Brooker learned to play piano, cornet, and trombone. ''Burn'' is the eighth studio album by the English Rock music, rock band Deep Purple, released in February 1974, and the first to feature then-unknown David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes (musician), Glenn Hughes, from Trapeze (band), Trapeze, on bass and vocals. Recording The album was recorded in Montreux, Switzerland, in November 1973, with the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. Ian Anderson Paice (born 29 June 1948) is an English musician, best known as the drummer and last remaining original member of the rock band Deep Purple. He is often cited as one of the greatest drummers of all-time. John Douglas Lord (9 June 194116 July 2012) was an English orchestral and rock composer, pianist, and Hammond organ player known for his pioneering work in fusing rock with classical or baroque forms, especially with the British rock band Deep Purple. Ritchie Blackmore
Richard Hugh Blackmore (born 14 April 1945) is an English guitarist and songwriter. He was a founding member of Deep Purple in 1968, playing jam-style hard rock music that mixed guitar riffs and organ sounds. He is prolific in creating guitar riffs and classically influenced solos. During his solo career, Blackmore established the hard rock band Rainbow, which fused baroque music influences and elements of hard rock. Rainbow steadily moved to catchy pop-style mainstream rock.
