"Night Time" is a song written and originally recorded by the Strangeloves in 1965. It was written by Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein and Richard Gottehrer, and is a track from their ''I Want Candy'' LP. The song reached No. 30 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart and No. 21 on the '' Cash Box'' Top 100. It did not chart internationally except briefly in Australia. The Strangeloves
The Strangeloves were a band created in 1964 by the New York City, New York-based United States, American songwriter, songwriting and record producer, production team of Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein (producer), Jerry Goldstein, and Richard Gottehrer. They initially pretended to be from Australia. The Strangeloves' most successful singles were "I Want Candy," "Cara-Lin", and "Night Time (song), Night Time". History Before the invention of The Strangeloves, Feldman and Goldstein had been working together as songwriters since 1959,Bill Kopp, "Strange Daze", ''Record Collector'', #502, February 2020, pp.74-78 and recorded a couple of non-charting singles as the duo Bob & Jerry in 1961-62. Bauhaus (band)
Bauhaus are an English rock band formed in Northampton in 1978. Known for their dark image and gloomy sound, Bauhaus are best known as one of the pioneers of gothic rock, although they mixed many genres, including dub, glam rock, psychedelia, and funk. The group consists of Daniel Ash (guitar, saxophone), Peter Murphy (vocals, occasional instruments), Kevin Haskins (drums) and David J (bass). The band formed under the name Bauhaus 1919, in reference to the first operating year of the German art school Bauhaus, but they shortened this name within a year of formation. Their 1979 debut single " Bela Lugosi's Dead" is considered one of the harbingers of gothic rock music and has been influential on contemporary goth culture. George Thorogood And The Destroyers
George Lawrence Thorogood (born February 24, 1950) is an American musician, singer and songwriter from Wilmington, Delaware. His "high-energy boogie-blues" sound became a staple of 1980s rock radio, with hits like his original songs "Bad to the Bone" and "I Drink Alone". He has also helped to popularize older songs by American icons, such as " Move It on Over", " Who Do You Love?", and "House Rent Blues/One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer". With his band, the Delaware Destroyers, Thorogood has released over 20 albums, two of which have been certified Platinum and six have been certified Gold. He has sold 15 million records worldwide. Jayne County
Wayne Rogers (born July 13, 1947), better known by her stage name Jayne County is an American singer, songwriter, actress and record producer whose career has spanned six decades. Under the name Wayne County (inspired by Wayne County, Michigan), she was the vocalist of influential proto-punk band Wayne County & the Electric Chairs who became known for their campy and foul-mouthed ballads, glam punk inspired songs, and image which was heavily influenced by Jackie Curtis and the Theatre of the Ridiculous.
