''Night Nurse'' is a 1982 studio album by Gregory Isaacs. ''Night Nurse'' is reggae artist Gregory Isaacs' most well-known album. It contains his biggest hit, " Night Nurse" as well as several other notable tracks. Backing came from the Roots Radics, with additional synthesizer added by Wally Badarou. The album was released on vinyl and cassette, then later in 1990 on compact disc. It reached No. 32 on the UK Albums Chart. A reissue released in 2002 includes four additional bonus tracks. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. In August 1982, the first compact disc was manufactured. It was then released in October 1982 in Japan and branded as ''Compact Disc Digital Audio, Digital Audio Compact Disc''. The format was later adapted (as CD-ROM) for general-purpose data storage. Compass Point Studios
Compass Point Studios was a music recording studio in the The Bahamas, Bahamas, founded in 1977 by Chris Blackwell, the owner of Island Records. The concept of the studio was of a recording facility supported by in-house sets of artists, musicians, producers and engineers, all dedicated to a specific and recognisable sound and style. The session band at the studios, as well as visiting recording artists, became known as the Compass Point All Stars. Located on the island of New Providence, ten miles west of Nassau, the studio attracted musical artists from around the world to record at its facilities during the 1970s and 1980s. AC/DC's ''Back In Black'', the second highest selling album ever, was one of many albums recorded there. Errol Brown (engineer)
Errol Brown is a Jamaican audio engineer and record producer. Biography Brown is the nephew of the late Duke Reid, the pioneer of Treasure Isle recording studio. Educated at Kingston Technical High School, where he did radio and television, Brown was trained as an audio engineer at Treasure Isle studios by Byron Smith and Duke Reid. Brown recorded artists such as: Alton Ellis, Gilberto Gil, The Paragons, The Sensations, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, Peter Tosh, U-Roy, Gregory Isaacs, Culture, Rebelution, Cultura Profética, Natty Nation and many more. Brown left Treasure Isle in 1979, where he joined Bob Marley & The Wailers at Tuff Gong Studios. Steely & Clevie
Steely & Clevie was a Jamaican dancehall reggae production duo that was composed of members Wycliffe Johnson and Cleveland Browne. The duo worked with artists such as the Specials, Gregory Peck ("Poco Man Jam," 1990), Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, and No Doubt. Steely debuted as a keyboardist with Sugar Minott's Youth Promotion collective in the 1970s, playing the keyboards on Minott's 1978 album, ''Ghetto-ology''. Clevie pioneered the use of drum machines in reggae. Steely and Clevie first played together at Lee "Scratch" Perry's Black Ark Studios during the late 1970s. In 1986, the duo was the house band at King Jammy's Studio, which became the center point of late-1980s reggae, by which time Steely & Clevie were established production leaders with an immense slew of 12-inch and dub singles.
