Nigeria Olympic Committee
The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is the National Olympic Committee for Nigeria, responsible for co-ordinating and supporting Nigerian competitors in the Olympic Games. It is also the body responsible for Nigeria's representation at the Commonwealth Games. Leadership The President of the NOC as of 2011 was Sani Ndanusa who had been Minister of Sports from 17 December 2008 to 17 March 2010. Ndanusa first said he aspired to become NOC President when he was Minister of Sports, but in November 2009 the NOC screening committee disqualified him on the basis that documents he had submitted were allegedly "forged, altered and not dated". To be eligible for NOC President a candidate has to have served for four years in an executive position in an international sports federation. Orukpe Erayokan
Orukpe Erayokan (born 20 December 1993 in Uromi, Edo State) is a Nigerian sprinter. His main event is the 400 metres. He is a two-time All-Africa Games finalist. Erayokan won the 400 m at the 18th Nigerian National Sports Festival in 2012 ahead of Abbas Abubakar and Gerald Odeka. He represented his country at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, running in the 4 x 400 m. He also represented Nigeria at the 2015 IAAF World Relays. 2015 seemed a breakthrough year for Erayokan. Erayokan was selected for the individual 400 m at the Brazzaville African Games. He had only previously been in the relay pool at international competitions. At the Brazzaville African Games, he went under 46 s for the first time in his career, running 45.84 in the heats. He bettered that in the semifinal with a sub 45 s clocking of 44.95 s, earning him a spot in the final. In the final, he finished 6th in 45.73 s. Ejowvokoghene Divine Oduduru (born 7 October 1996) is a Nigerian sprinter specializing in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. He holds personal bests of 9.86 seconds for the 100 m and 19.73 seconds for the 200 m. The latter is a Nigerian national record.
