Adolf Dymsza (born Adolf Bagiński; 7 April 1900 – 20 August 1975) was a Polish comedy actor of both the pre-World War II and post-war eras. He starred in both theatre and film productions, mainly before World War II. He and Kazimierz Krukowski performed as the duo ''Lopek and Florek'' in ''kleynkunst'' productions at Qui Pro Quo and other noted Warsaw cabarets. Andrzej Bogucki
Andrzej Bogucki (11 November 1904 – 29 July 1978) was a Polish television, stage and film actor, as well as operetta singer and songwriter, sometimes referred to as "The Polish Chevalier". Bogucki and his wife Janina née Godlewska (8 March 1908 – 19 June 1992) are known for helping and hiding the Polish Jewish pianist Władysław Szpilman during the Nazi occupation of Poland. Szpilman's life inspired the 2002 film '' The Pianist'', and both Bogucki and his wife were portrayed in the film. Although he lived in Warsaw for most of his life, Bogucki also worked in several other cities. He lived in Warsaw's Mariensztat neighborhood from 1947 until the end of his life, and he is buried in the Powązki Cemetery in the western part of Warsaw. Bogucki was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta for his career and actions during World War II. Mieczysław Krawicz (2 February 1893, Warsaw – 17 September 1944, Warsaw) was a Polish film director from Warsaw. Life He was born on 1 January 1893 in Warsaw, in the Catholic family of Juliusz and Antonina (1857–1941). He graduated from high school and the Higher Trade Courses in Warsaw. After returning home from further studies in Germany, he started working with the "Sfinks" film company. Initially, he dealt with office matters, later designing film decorations, organizing shooting and production, ending with directing. In 1926 he played the role of Brochwicz in the adaptation of ''Trędowata''. In 1930, together with Stanisław Szebego and Zbigniew Gniazdowski, they founded the "Blok" film company, in which he initially acted as production manager and then a film director. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre. Some of the earliest silent films were comedies, as slapstick comedy often relies on visual depictions, without requiring sound. When sound films became more prevalent during the 1930s, comedy films took another swing, as laughter could result from burlesque situations but also dialogue.
