Georg Niedermeier (born 26 February 1986) is a German footballer who currently plays as a defender for New Zealand Taranaki Premiership club New Plymouth Rangers. He came through the Bayern Munich's youth academy before joining VfB Stuttgart on loan in January 2009 and officially signing for them in February 2010 for €4 million. Luděk Niedermayer (born 13 March 1966) is a Czech politician and economist, serving as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Czech Republic since July 2014, representing TOP 09, part of the European People's Party. He also currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs in the European Parliament. Oskar Ritter von Niedermayer (8 November 1885 – 25 September 1948) was a German General, professor and a German super-spy. Robert Wade Niedermayer Jr. (born December 28, 1974) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played 17 National Hockey League (NHL) seasons for the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks, New Jersey Devils, and Buffalo Sabres. Scott Niedermayer (born August 31, 1973) is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman and current special assignment coach of the Anaheim Ducks. Thomas Niedermayer, OBE (1928–1973) was a German industrialist, who was kidnapped by, and died while in the hands of, the Provisional IRA in 1973. He was managing director of the Grundig factory in Belfast, and the West German honorary consul for Northern Ireland. Abduction Niedermayer was kidnapped on 27 December 1973, at around 11 pm, from his home in West Belfast, by two IRA members who lured him outside his house on the pretext that they had accidentally crashed into his car. Niedermayrite is a rare hydrated copper cadmium sulfate hydroxide mineral with formula: Cu4 Cd( S O4)2(O H)6·4 H2O.
