Charles Jules Henri Nicolle (21 September 1866 – 28 February 1936) was a French bacteriologist who received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his identification of lice as the transmitter of epidemic typhus. Family Nicolle was born to Aline Louvrier and Eugène Nicolle in Rouen, France and was raised as part of a middle class family that valued education. He had two other siblings – his older brother, Maurice Nicolle (a medical microbiologist, professor at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, and Director of the Bacteriological Institute of Constantinople), and his younger brother, Marcel Nicolle (an art critic). Nicole later married Alice Avice in 1895, and had two children, Marcelle (b. 1896) and Pierre (b. 1898), both of whom also went on to enter the medical field. Louis Nicolle (16 June 1871 – 23 July 1942) was a French linen manufacturer and politician who was a deputy from 1924 to 1936, and was Minister of Health in 1936. Life Louis Nicolle was born on 16 June 1871 in Lille, Nord. Nicolle's father was a former naval officer. His mother came from an established family of Lille industrialists. Nicolle attended the '' lycée'' in Lille, undertook his year of military service, then entered the business of manufacturing linen from flax. He became honorary chairman of the French Flax Committee, president of the Industrial Society of the Nord and French president of the International Federation of Flax Spinners. Nicolle Jane Flint (born 15 July 1978) is an Australian politician. She was the member for Boothby in South Australia in the Australian House of Representatives from 2016 to 2022. She is a member of the Liberal Party of Australia and succeeded the previous member, Andrew Southcott, at the 2016 federal election. Flint announced on 26 February 2021 that she would not contest the 2022 Australian federal election. She gave her valedictory speech on 16 February 2022. Ethan Nicolle is an American comic book creator, artist, and writer. He created the Slave Labor Graphics comic '' Chumble Spuzz'' which has been released as two graphic novels so far. He also worked with his younger brother, Malachai, to create ''Axe Cop''. From 2019 to 2021, Nicolle was the creative director for ''The Babylon Bee'', a news satire website. ''Axe Cop'' is a webcomic by brothers Malachai Nicolle (age 5 when the series began) and Ethan Nicolle (age 28 when the series began). Malachai is responsible for the ideas and stories, while Ethan turns them into comics. The first four comics were drawn in December 2009 and posted to Facebook; the website was not launched until January 2010. The site also features ''Ask Axe Cop'', a series of comics where Axe Cop responds to questions from readers. David C. Nicolle (born 4 April 1944) is a British historian specialising in the military history of the Middle Ages, with a particular interest in the Middle East. David Nicolle worked for BBC Arabic before getting his MA at SOAS, University of London. He gained a PhD at the University of Edinburgh in year 1982. Jorge Carpio Nicolle (October 24, 1932 – July 3, 1993) was a prominent Guatemalan politician and newspaper publisher. He was the founder of the Unión del Centro Nacional (National Centrist Union, or UCN) in 1984, and ran as the party's candidate for president in the elections of 1985 and 1990. Victor-Jean Nicolle (1754–1826) was a French artist. Nicolle was born in the city of Paris. He revealed his talent for landscape compositions at an early age when, in 1771, as a pupil of the Royal School of Drawing he won the Perspective Prize.
