Nicolina Giordani
Nicolina Giordani (1740 – after 1775), also known by the stage name La Signora Spiletta or La Spiletta, was an Italian opera singer. A member of the Giordanis family from Naples, she was the daughter of Antonia and Giuseppe Giordani, librettist and composer, and the sister of Francesco and Marina, both singers, and Tommaso, a composer and instrumentalist. She performed in opera productions with her family's company in Northern Italy, Germany, Holland and France, before settling in London, where she was active between 1753 and 1774. She became known by her stage name after a popular performance as the character from ''Gli Amanti Gelosi''. She was described by Thomas Gray as a singer "with the utmost justness of ear, the strongest expression of countenance, the most speaking eyes, the greatest vivacy ic& variety of gesture". Nicolina Pernheim
Nicolina Pernheim (born 22 August 1991) is a blind Swedish Paralympic judoka who competes in international level events. She is a triple European champion in the women's middleweight category and has participated at the Summer Paralympics three times. She is highly regarded as one of Sweden's best female judoka. In 2020 she was supported financially by a campaign which raised money from Swedes who bought a particular pillow. Nicolina Vaz de Assis Pinto do Couto (Campinas, 1874 – Rio de Janeiro, 1941) was a Brazilian sculptor. Early life She began her studies at the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro , where she entered in 1897, and studied under Professor Rodolfo Bernardelli. She was awarded a scholarship by the Art School of the State of São Paulo allowing her to travel to Paris and stay in the French capital from 1904 to 1907, where she continued to perfect her art. She entered the Académie Julian where she studied with Alexandre Falguière and Denys Puech. Iași ( , , ; also known by other alternative names), also referred to mostly historically as Jassy ( , ), is the second largest city in Romania and the seat of Iași County. Located in the historical region of Moldavia, it has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Romanian social, cultural, academic and artistic life.
