Nicole Schott
Nicole Schott (born 12 September 1996) is a German figure skater. She is the 2016 CS Warsaw Cup champion, the 2017 CS Tallinn Trophy bronze medalist, a two-time NRW Trophy champion (2014, 2016), and a seven-time German national champion (2012, 2015, 2018–20, 2022–23). She has finished within the top ten at one World and four European Championships. Schott represented Germany at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics, placing eighteenth and seventeenth, respectively. Personal life Nicole Schott was born in Essen. Her father played ice hockey and her younger sister, Vivienne Schott, has competed in figure skating. Career In March 2011, Schott represented Germany at the World Junior Championships in Gangneung, South Korea. The 2019 Internationaux de France was the third event of the 2019–20 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. 2015 European Figure Skating Championships
The 2015 European Figure Skating Championships were held 26 January – 1 February 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. Overview The event was the first figure skating ISU Championship to be held in Stockholm since 1947, when the city hosted the World Championships. It last hosted the European Championships in 1912. ISU Figure Skating Championships
The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. No skater in men's single skating, women's single skating, pair skating and ice dancing can compete at all four competitions in one season, but some skaters have competed at all four over the course of their careers. Nathalie Weinzierl
Nathalie Weinzierl (born 8 April 1994) is a German figure skater. She is a two-time German national champion (2014, 2017) and has won eleven senior international medals, including gold at the Bavarian Open, Dragon Trophy, and Egna Trophy, and Merano Cup. She has placed as high as 7th at the European Championships and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Personal life Nathalie Weinzierl was born in Saarbrücken, Germany. The 2011 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition during the 2010–11 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event crowned the World Junior Champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event took place in Gangneung, South Korea from 28 February to 6 March 2011. It was a qualification event for the figure skating events at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics. Figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. The five events took place between 4 and 20 February 2022. A total of 144 quota spots were distributed to the sport of figure skating, a decline of four from the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Figure skating at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games was held at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung, South Korea. The five events took place between 9 and 23 February 2018. Qualification A total of 148 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games. Each NOC could enter a maximum of 18 athletes, with a maximum of nine men and nine women. An additional six quota spots were made available for the team event. A further ten team trophy quotas (two in each discipline) were distributed to countries who qualified for the team event but not the discipline itself. European Figure Skating Championships
The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships was held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany and featured one segment, compulsory figures, with seven competitors, all men from Germany and Austria. It has been, other than five periods, held continuously since 1891, and has been sanctioned by the ISU since 1893.
