Nicole Hitz
Nicole Hitz (born 25 April 1997) is a Swiss artistic gymnast. Career Hitz competed at the 2012 Junior European Championships and helped the Swiss team finish 13th. She competed at the 2013 DTB Team Challenge in Stuttgart with Jessica Diacci, Ilaria Käslin, and Sara Metzger, and the team finished 4th while Hitz finished 10th in the all-around. Hitz competed at the 2014 Cottbus World Cup, but she did not qualify for any event finals. At the 2014 Swiss Championships, she finished 6th in the all-around, 4th on the vault, 6th on the uneven bars, and 4th on the balance beam. She competed at the 2014 World Championships alongside Giulia Steingruber, Caterina Barloggio, Ilaria Käslin, Laura Schulte, and Stefanie Siegenthaler, and they finished 19th in the qualification round. Laura Schulte
Laura Schulte (born 15 April 1997) is a retired Swiss artistic gymnast. She is a FIG World Cup bronze medalist on the uneven bars. Career Schulte competed at the 2012 Junior European Championships and helped the Swiss team finish 13th. She made her senior debut at the 2013 City of Jesolo Trophy and the Swiss team finished 5th. Individually, she finished 5th in the uneven bars event final. She competed at the 2013 European Championships where she finished 25th in the all-around during the qualification round. At the 2014 FIG World Cup in Doha and won the bronze medal on the uneven bars behind Kristýna Pálešová and Jana Šikulová. The 2016 Olympic Gymnastics Test Event, known officially as Aquece Rio 2016, served as the final qualifier to the gymnastics events at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Concerns and criticisms During the test event the FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) raised "serious concerns" regarding the state of preparations for the Summer Olympics. There were power outages while the athletes were performing. Furthermore, the concerns include problems with the timing system and insufficient lighting in competition and training halls. 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the forty-sixth edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from 23 October – 1 November 2015 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and is the first time that Scotland hosted the event. The competition served as a qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Japan won the men's team all-around competition for the first time since 1978, and the United States won the women's team all-around title for the third straight time. In the individual all-around competitions, Kōhei Uchimura and Simone Biles won their sixth and third successive title, respectively. Qualifying in thirteenth place, team Romania failed to automatically qualify to the Olympic Games for the first time since 1966.
