Nicolas Roope (born 26 February 1972 in Singapore, Singapore) is a British industrial and digital media designer and entrepreneur. Education and career Roope received Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Sculpture from Liverpool John Moores University. Roope's career combines his interest in art, design, sustainability and technology into various commercial and artistic pursuits. His designs have been included iMoMA Cooper-Hewitt collection and The V&A. Webby Award
The Webby Awards are awards for excellence on the Internet presented annually by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a judging body composed of over two thousand industry experts and technology innovators. The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) is a not-for-profit industry body representing the digital industry in the United Kingdom. Plumen is a designer low energy lighting company based in London, UK. The Plumen 001, their debut product, is a designer low energy compact fluorescent light. The design of the Plumen 001 lightbulb is result of collaboration between the Hulger team and designer Samuel Wilkinson.
