Nicolas Canteloup
Nicolas Canteloup (born in Mérignac, Gironde on 4 November 1963) is a French Impressionist (entertainment), impressionist. Television career In 1995, he appeared as impressionist in the TV show ''Les Guignols, Les Guignols de l'info'', on Canal +. In 2005, he first participated in the show ''Vivement dimanche prochain'', hosted by Michel Drucker, broadcast every Sunday afternoon on France 2. Since September 2007, he participates only twice a month, alternating with humorist Anne Roumanoff. On 5 April 2008, France 2 devoted to Canteloup a prime-time entitled ''Canteloup, y es-tu ?'' (reissued on 28 December 2008 at 1:25 pm). In 2005, he started a radio career hosting ''Revue de presque'' on Europe 1. Mérignac, Gironde
Mérignac () is a Communes of France, commune in the Gironde Departments of France, department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. The 20th-century historian Robert Étienne (1921–2009) was born in Mérignac. It is the largest suburb of the city of Bordeaux and adjoins it to the west. It is a member of the Bordeaux Métropole. Impressionist (entertainment)
An impressionist or a mimic is a performer whose act consists of imitating sounds, voices and mannerisms of celebrities and cartoon characters. The word usually refers to a professional comedian/entertainer who specializes in such performances and has developed a wide repertoire of impressions, including adding to them, often to keep pace with current events. Impressionist performances are a classic casino entertainment genre. Someone who imitates one particular person without claiming a wide range, such as a lookalike, is instead called an impersonator. ''Les Guignols'' (, ''The Puppets''), formerly ''Les Guignols de l'info'' (, ''The News Puppets''), was a daily satirical latex puppet show broadcast on the French television channel Canal+. It was created in 1988, inspired by '' Le Bébête Show'' (1982–95) and for the puppets form by the British ''Spitting Image'' (1984–96). Using the same structure as a news programme, the show satirized the political world, media, celebrities, French society, and international events. Michel Drucker
Michel Drucker, CQ (born 12 September 1942 in Vire) is a popular French journalist and TV host. He has been on screen for so long on various shows and different networks, both public and private, that he once said that some people joked that he was included in the price of their TV sets. Drucker's younger brother, Jacques, is a doctor, and his older brother, Jean, was a television executive. He started a journalistic career in 1965 at the ORTF as sports reporter and commentator. Although he kept doing live coverage of major soccer matches until 1986, he soon turned to hosting variety shows, such as ''Champs-Élysées'' on Antenne 2 in the 1980s, then Stars 90 on TF1 in the 1990s, then finally Vivement dimanche on France 2 every Sunday afternoon since 1998. Anne Roumanoff (born 25 September 1965 in Paris) is a French comedian and actress. Early life Anne Leila Roumanoff was born on 25 September 1965 in Paris, France. The Olympia (; commonly known as L'Olympia or in the English-speaking world as Olympia Hall) is a concert venue in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, France, located at 28 Boulevard des Capucines, equally distancing Madeleine church and Opéra Garnier, north of Vendôme square.
