Nicolae Simatoc
Nicolae Simatoc (also known as Miklós Szegedi; 1 May 1920 – 2 December 1979) was a Romanian association football manager and midfielder who played for a number of clubs throughout Europe, including Ripensia Timişoara and Carmen București in Romania, Nagyváradi AC in Hungary, Inter Milan and Brescia in Italy, and Barcelona and Real Oviedo in Spain. After retiring as a player he became a coach, and managed Spanish side UE Lleida between 1959 and 1960, and CE Sabadell FC between 1960 and 1961. He then coached Budapest Sydney and Polonia Western Eagles. Personal life Simatoc was born to Romanian parents in Briceni, present-day Moldova. He was raised Romanian Orthodox by his family. He was also known as Miklós Szegedi while playing in Hungary. Simatoc was married to a Hungarian woman named Etelka Stolárcsik, with whom he had two sons. Briceni
Briceni (, uk, Брича́ни, yi, בריטשאן, Britshan, pl, Bryczany) is a city in northern Moldova. It is the seat of Briceni District. Demographics At the 2004 census, the city had a population of 8,765. At the 1930 census, there were two localities: ''Briceni Târg'' (literally ''Briceni Fair''), and ''Briceni Sat'' (literally ''Briceni village''), and at the time they were part of ''Plasa Briceni'' of Hotin County. Etymology The town has been also called: Berchan, Bricheni, Bricheni Târg, Bricheni Sat, Britchan, Britchani, Britsiteni. A village, approximately to the east to the city, is also known as Briceni. It is at 48° 22´ north latitude and 27° 42´ east longitude, which puts that town north northwest of Chişinău. The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del Generalísimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
