Nicholas Delton Thompson (born June 23, 1981) is a retired American mixed martial artist. A professional from 2003 until 2011, he competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Strikeforce, Bellator Fighting Championships, and Bodog Fight. He is the former Bodog Fight Lightweight Champion. Background While attending college, Nick wrestled at the University of Wisconsin from 2000–2002. He then began training with coach Dave Strasser at Dave Strasser’s Freestyle Academy in Kenosha, Wisconsin. While there, he trained with manager Pat O'Malley, Ron Faircloth, Nick Agallar, and Brian Geraghty. In 2005, Nick moved to attend the University of Minnesota Law School. Nick Thompson (born February 7, 1966) is a former Fort Myers, Florida Republican politician who served as the Representative for District 73 in the House of Representatives of the U.S. state of Florida. He was first elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2008. He chaired the Civil Justice & Courts Policy Committee. He chose not to run for re-election to the Florida House of Representatives and in 2010 was elected to the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida, a seat formerly held by his father. He currently serves as a Circuit Court Judge. Representative Thompson was born in Pensacola, Florida. In 1989, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Washington and Lee University. From 2007 to 2010, Thompson made 99 appearances for the Falcons, scoring 54 goals and assisting 18 times while winning three NCAA Division III national titles. During his senior season at Messiah Thompson earned First Team All-Commonwealth Conference, First Team All-Mid-Atlantic, Second Team All-American, First Team D3Soccer.com All-American, and Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year honors. Nicholas Thompson (born December 25, 1982) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour. Thompson was born in Plantation, Florida. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 2005 with a degree in business management and was a member of the 2002 ACC championship team. He turned professional after graduating. Thompson won his PGA Tour card for 2006 by finishing third in the 2005 qualifying school. He made 15 of 32 cuts, with one top-10 finish in 2006 and lost his tour card when he finished 180th on the money list. In 2007, he played on the Nationwide Tour, winning once, the HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship, and finishing sixth on the money list, thus earning his PGA Tour card for 2008.
