Nick Shore
Nicholas Shore (born September 26, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey center who is currently playing with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was selected in the third round (82nd overall) by the Kings in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, and played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets. Shore has played for multiple other teams in Europe, including HC Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL); however, after the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Shore elected to leave the team. Playing career As a youth, Shore played in the 2005 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Littleton, Colorado. The Los Angeles Kings are a professional ice hockey team based in Los Angeles. Manchester Monarchs (AHL)
The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They played in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the Verizon Wireless Arena. They were the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League (NHL) Los Angeles Kings during the team's entire existence. The Monarchs won their only Calder Cup in their final AHL season. 2013–14 AHL Season
The 2013–14 AHL season was the 78th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 4, 2013, and ended on April 19, 2014. The 2014 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Calder Cup was won by the Texas Stars for their first Calder Cup in franchise history. The Denver Pioneers men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the University of Denver. The Pioneers are a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). They play at Magness Arena in Denver, Colorado. The Pioneers are tied with Michigan for the most all-time NCAA National Hockey Championships with nine (1958, 1960, 1961, 1968, 1969, 2004, 2005, 2017, 2022). Minor Ice Hockey
Minor hockey is an umbrella term for amateur ice hockey which is played below the junior age level. Players are classified by age, with each age group playing in its own league. The rules, especially as it relates to body contact, vary from class to class. In North America, the rules are governed by the national bodies, Hockey Canada and USA Hockey, while local hockey associations administer players and leagues for their region.
