Nick Lowe (comics)
Nicholas Albert Lowe (born October 7, 1979) is the vice president of content and executive editor at Marvel Comics. He was formerly senior editor of the ''X-Men'' titles. He was responsible for the ''Nextwave'' title, along with ''The Eternals'' by Neil Gaiman. Early life Lowe grew up on the west side of Cleveland. During high school, he attended the prestigious St. Ignatius High School. While there he participated in school plays and musicals. Lowe attended The Catholic University of America, majoring in drama. Career Lowe began his comics career as an intern at Marvel Comics during the inception of the Marvel Knights line. Ultimate Marvel, later known as Ultimate Comics, was an imprint of comic books published by Marvel Comics, featuring re-imagined and modernized versions of the company's superhero characters from the Ultimate Marvel Universe. Those characters include Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Ultimates (the Ultimate Marvel Universe counterpart of the Avengers), the Fantastic Four, and others. ''Runaways'' is a superhero comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The series features a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are part of an evil crime organization known as "the Pride". Created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, the series debuted in July 2003 as part of Marvel Comics' "Tsunami" imprint. The series was canceled in September 2004 at issue #18, but due to high numbers of trade collection sales, Marvel revived the series in February 2005. Supreme Power
The Squadron Supreme is a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, of which there are several notable alternate versions. The original team was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, derived from the previously created supervillain team Squadron Sinister. The core members of the Squadron Supreme are Hyperion, Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, Power Princess, and the Whizzer, pastiches of prominent members of rival publisher DC Comics' superhero team the Justice League. ''Marvel 1602'' is an eight-issue comic book limited series published in 2003 by Marvel Comics. The limited series was written by Neil Gaiman, penciled by Andy Kubert, and digitally painted by Richard Isanove; Scott McKowen illustrated the distinctive scratchboard covers. The eight-part series takes place in a timeline where Marvel superheroes exist in the Elizabethan era; faced with the destruction of their world by a mysterious force, the heroes must fight to save their universe. Orson Scott Card (born August 24, 1951) is an American writer known best for his science fiction works.
