Nick Hobson
Nicholas Richard Hobson (born 22 August 1994) is an Australian cricketer who represents the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Perth Scorchers against the Sydney Thunder on 24 January 2019 during the 2018-19 Big Bash League season. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. Big Bash League
The Big Bash League (known as the KFC Big Bash League for sponsorship reasons, often abbreviated to BBL or Big Bash) is an Australian professional club Twenty20 cricket league, which was established in 2011 by Cricket Australia. The Big Bash League replaced the previous competition, the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, and features eight city-based franchises instead of the six state teams which had participated previously. The competition has been sponsored by fast food-chicken outlet KFC since its inception. 2020–21 Marsh One-Day Cup
The 2021 Marsh One-Day Cup was the 52nd season of the official List A domestic cricket competition being played in Australia. On 26 June 2020, Cricket Australia confirmed all the squads for the 2020–21 domestic cricket season. Western Australia were the defending champions. On 16 December 2020, Cricket Australia confirmed the schedule of the tournament, with the final scheduled to be played on 30 April 2021, the latest finish to a domestic cricket season in Australia. On 10 February 2021, Cricket Australia announced the reduction of the tournament from 22 to 16 matches due to concerns over bubble fatigue, which resulted in a full schedule change. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. Fast bowling (also referred to as pace bowling) is one of two main approaches to bowling in the sport of cricket, the other being spin bowling. The South Australia cricket team, officially named the West End Redbacks, is an Australian men's professional first-class cricket team based in Adelaide, South Australia. The Redbacks play their home matches at Adelaide Oval and are the state cricket team for South Australia, representing the state in the Sheffield Shield competition and the limited overs Marsh One-Day Cup.
