Nick GAS
Nickelodeon Games and Sports for Kids (stylized as Nick GaS and commonly known as Nick GAS) was an American cable television network that was part of MTV Networks' suite of digital cable channels. The channel was available to all digital cable providers and satellite provider Dish Network. With its focus on classic Nickelodeon game shows (most of which had been removed from the parent network between 1999–2002), Nick GAS was essentially a children's version of (and Viacom's answer to) Game Show Network, which launched on December 1, 1994. The VP/General Manager of the network was Nickelodeon executive Mark Offitzer, producer of numerous Nick specials including the ''Kids Choice Awards''. In television programming, an interstitial television show (or wraparound program or wraparound segment) refers to a short program that is often shown between movies or other events, e.g. cast interviews after movies on premium channels. The term can also refer to a narrative bridge between segments within a program, such as the live action introductions to the animated segments in the Disney films ''Fantasia'' and ''Fantasia 2000'', or the Simpson family's interludes during their annual ''Treehouse of Horror'' episodes. Sometimes, if a program finishes earlier than expected, a short extra program may be inserted in the schedule to fill the time until the next scheduled program is due to start. ''Instant Star'' is a Canadian musical comedy-drama television series which aired from 15 September 2004 to 26 June 2008. The series starred Alexz Johnson as teenage singing competition winner Jude Harrison. The show chronicles Harrison's experience in the recording industry whilst focusing on character development. Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn of Epitome Pictures produced the show. The show began to air on CTV in Canada before being picked up by the American network Noggin for its teen-oriented block, The N. The show became the second most popular series on The N with '' Degrassi: The Next Generation'', another show also produced by Schuyler and Stohn, ranking as most popular. ''Finders Keepers'' is an American children's game show that debuted on Nickelodeon in 1987 and later aired in first-run syndication starting in 1988. The show featured two teams of two children attempting to find hidden objects in different rooms of a house. The Nickelodeon version premiered on November 2, 1987, and was hosted by Wesley Eure. ''Legends of the Hidden Temple'' is an American action-adventure TV game show that broadcast from 1993 to 1995 on Nickelodeon. Created by David G. Stanley, Scott A. Stone, and Stephen Brown, the program features a fictitious temple, "filled with lost treasures protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards."
