Nick Etchells is an Australian journalist. Career Nick Etchells is a veteran journalist and TV news presenter, with more than 20 years’ experience covering global and local news events, natural disasters - including the Japan Tsunami, bushfires and floods - and state, national and international politics. He has covered events ranging from the inquest into Princess Diana's death to the violent breakdown of the Solomon Islands, and the red carpet of Hollywood's Golden Globe Awards. He has interviewed people from all walks of life including Richard Branson, Naomi Watts, Mohammed Al Fayed, Russell Crowe, John Travolta, Shane Warne, Toni Collette and many more. ''The Morning Show'' is an Australian morning talk show broadcast on the Seven Network and currently hosted by Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur. The show airs between 9:00 am and 11:30 am on weekdays and follows Seven's breakfast news program ''Sunrise'', with both programs closely interlinked. The program features infotainment, celebrity interviews and live music performances. On weekends, a highlights show is aired between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday featuring segments from the week. 2014 Sydney Hostage Crisis
The Lindt Cafe siege was a terrorist attack that occurred on 15–16 December 2014 when a lone gunman, Man Haron Monis, held hostage ten customers and eight employees of a Lindt chocolate café in the APA Building in Martin Place, Sydney, Australia. The Sydney siege led to a 16-hour standoff, after which a gunshot was heard from inside and police officers from the Tactical Operations Unit stormed the café. Hostage Tori Johnson was killed by Monis and hostage Katrina Dawson was killed by a police bullet ricochet in the subsequent raid. Monis was also killed. Three other hostages and a police officer were injured by police gunfire during the raid. Police have been criticised over their handling of the siege for not taking proactive action earlier, for the deaths of hostages at the end of the siege, and for the lack of negotiation during the siege. Rebecca Maddern (born 6 August 1977) is an Australian television presenter and journalist. Maddern is currently weekend presenter of ''Seven News Melbourne'' with Mike Amor and presents ''Seven Afternoon News'' in Melbourne. She has worked at Seven Network for over a decade, where she was a presenter and reporter for ''Seven News'' and also presented a variety of programs and events across the network. Nuala Hafner is an Australian media personality of Ghanaian descent. She is also a clinical psychologist, psychologist. Early life and education Hafner was born in London, England, to Ghanaian-born Australian Dorinda Hafner. ''A Current Affair'' (or ''ACA'') is an Australian current affairs program airing weeknights and Saturday nights on the Nine Network. The program is currently hosted by Allison Langdon (Monday–Thursday) and Deborah Knight (Friday and Saturday).
