Nick Doody
Nick Doody (born 1972 in Shipley, West Yorkshire) is a British stand-up comedian. Doody featured as a guest on vox-pop television shows and radio broadcasts such as '' Political Animal''. He wrote for the television series ''FAQ U'', featured on ''The Mark Thomas Comedy Product'', and was a finalist on Channel Four's 1997 ''So You Think You're Funny'' competition. He was commissioned to write a study of American comedian Bill Hicks, ''Telling the Truth, Laughing: The Life and Works of Bill Hicks'' following his gigging with Hicks in 1992. In 2006 Doody performed his first solo Edinburgh Show ''Before He Kills Again'' and made an appearance at Download festival. He has appeared on ''The Comic Side of 7 Days'' on BBC Three, and has written for ''8 out of 10 Cats'', ''The Late Edition'' (BBC Four), ''The Now Show'' (BBC Radio 4), ''Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive'' (BBC Radio 4). The Now Show
''The Now Show'' is a British radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4, which satirises the week's news. The show is a mixture of stand-up, sketches and songs hosted by Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. The show used to feature regular appearances by Jon Holmes, Laura Shavin (earlier series had Emma Kennedy, or occasionally Sue Perkins, for the female voices), a monologue by Marcus Brigstocke, and music by Mitch Benn, Pippa Evans or Adam Kay, but now features a much wider range of contributors. Most episodes will feature a special guest. David James Gorman (born 2 March 1971) is an English comedian, presenter, and writer. Gorman began his career writing for comedy series such as ''The Mrs Merton Show'' (1993–1998) and ''The Fast Show'' (1994–1997), and later garnered acclaim for his stand-up shows, one of which earned him a nomination for a Perrier Award. He became widely known for his ''Are You Dave Gorman?'' stage show, which he debuted at the 2000 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and of which the television adaptation was broadcast as ''The Dave Gorman Collection'' in 2001. ''Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive'' is a British radio comedy programme broadcast on BBC Radio 4 first broadcast in 2005 with a second series in 2006, a third in 2007 and a fourth in 2008.
