Nick Dixon
Nick Dixon is a Scottish journalist, television presenter and former television producer, best known for his roles on ITV Breakfast programmes ''GMTV'', '' Daybreak'' and '' Good Morning Britain''. In 2005, Dixon joined breakfast programme ''GMTV'' as a news correspondent and a stand-in news presenter on the programme. When ''GMTV'' closed in 2010, he was transferred to the show's successor ''Daybreak'' where he worked as their New York City correspondent. He is now based in London working as a News Correspondent for the current ITV Breakfast show '' Good Morning Britain''. Career Nick Dixon left school at the age of 16 and went to work for BBC Scotland delivering the mail. In 1991, Dixon started as a copy boy in the newsroom of BBC Radio Scotland, moving onto typing up stories from reporters and correspondents and helping out on location. Dixon joined Radio Clyde in Glasgow as a Production Assistant in 1993 and in the same year worked as a researcher on the BBC quiz show '' ... Daybreak (2010 TV Programme)
''Daybreak'' is a British Breakfast television, breakfast television program that was broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV from 6 September 2010 to 25 April 2014. ''Daybreak'' replaced ''GMTV (TV programme), GMTV'', which aired its last weekday edition on 3 September 2010. ''Daybreak'' launched three days later. In March 2014, ITV announced that the show would end later in 2014 to be replaced by the launch of ''Good Morning Britain (2014 TV programme), Good Morning Britain'' on 28 April 2014. History The decision to replace ''GMTV'' with ''Daybreak'' followed the full takeover of GMTV by ITV plc, ITV. ''Daybreak'' and ''Lorraine (TV programme), Lorraine'' made up the weekday output of ITV Breakfast. At weekends, children's programming filled this slot. Radio Clyde
Radio Clyde is a group of two Independent Local Radio stations serving Glasgow and West Central Scotland. Radio Clyde is owned and operated by Bauer, based at studios in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire and forms part of Bauer's Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio Network of local stations. History Radio Clyde began broadcasting as the commercial radio station in Scotland at 10.30pm on Monday 31 December 1973. It was the first ILR station outside London, on 261 metres medium wave and 95.1 FM (later moving to 102.5 FM). Its original slogan was ''Radio Clyde, 261, all together now''. The station's studios were originally located at the Anderston Centre complex within Glasgow city centre, but moved to its current site at Clydebank in 1983. During the 1980s, under Programme Controller Alex Dickson, the station maintained a commitment to the arts, including outside broadcasts by the Scottish National Orchestra and other orchestras in its programming.
