Charlotte Louise Nichols (born 5 April 1991) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Warrington North since the 2019 general election. Prior to her political career, she worked as a trade union official. Early life Nichols was born in Romford, London, England and grew up in Reading, Berkshire. She has three sisters and three step-siblings. Her father Ged Nichols is the general secretary of the financial services trade union Accord and was appointed as the president of the TUC in 2019. Her earliest experience of politics was during her school years when she helped run UK Youth Parliament sessions with Conservative MP Theresa May. Don Nichols (November 23, 1924 – August 21, 2017) was the founder and former principal of the Shadow Racing Cars, Shadow Can-Am, CanAm and Formula One racing team. Biography Nichols, a U.S. Army combat veteran of World War II and Korea who then served in Military Intelligence, later found success as an entrepreneur in Japan before returning to the U.S. and setting up his own company called Advanced Vehicle Systems in 1968. In 1970 he raced his first Can-Am, CanAm car. He decided to call it Shadow, with the team's logo featuring a cloaked spy. Jackie Oliver won the CanAm title for Shadow in 1974. With major sponsorship from Universal Oil Products (UOP), Nichols expanded his operation and entered F1 at the start of the 1973 season with Oliver and George Follmer driving the new Shadow DN1. Richard Dale Nichols (April 29, 1926 – March 7, 2019) was an American banker and politician who served one-term as the U.S. representative from Kansas's 5th congressional district. Life and career Born in Fort Scott, Kansas, Nichols attended the public schools. He earned his B.S. from Kansas State University in 1951, after serving as an ensign in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1947. Deatrick Nichols (born June 8, 1994) is a gridiron football cornerback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
