Nicholas Wayman-Harris
Lord Nicholas Wayman-Harris is a British film editor based in Santa Monica, California. Wayman-Harris has worked on music videos with some of the biggest artists in the music world, including Radiohead, U2, Puff Daddy, The Spice Girls, Björk, Blur, Depeche Mode, George Michael, The Verve, Oasis, Kylie Minogue, Thirty Seconds to Mars and OK Go. His vast body of commercial work includes major campaigns for Ford Motor Company, Bacardi, Toyota, Nike, AT&T, Audi and Compaq to name but a few. Following on success from several short films including A Little Worm, Nicholas made his first foray into features on Event Horizon when he was asked by director Paul Anderson to cut the Visions of Hell sequence in the film. Film editing is both a creative and a technical part of the post-production process of filmmaking. The term is derived from the traditional process of working with film which increasingly involves the use of digital technology. The film editor works with raw footage, selecting shots and combining them into sequences which create a finished motion picture. The is a film festival established in 1985. The event was held biennially from 1985 to 1991 and annually thereafter. Along with the Shanghai International Film Festival, it is one of Asia's competitive film festivals, and is considered to be the largest film festival in Asia and the only Japanese festival accredited by the FIAPF. The awards handed out during the festival have changed throughout its existence, but the Tokyo Grand Prix, handed to the best film, has stayed as the top award. Dogme
Dogme 95 is a 1995 avant-garde filmmaking movement founded by the Danish directors Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg, who created the "Dogme 95 Manifesto" and the "Vows of Chastity" ( da, kyskhedsløfter). These were rules to create films based on the traditional values of story, acting, and theme, and excluding the use of elaborate special effects or technology. It was supposedly created as an attempt to "take back power for the directors as artists", as opposed to the studio. They were later joined by fellow Danish directors Kristian Levring and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, forming the Dogme 95 Collective or the Dogme Brethren. ''Dogme'' () is the Danish word for dogma. Kristian Levring
Kristian Levring (; born 9 May 1957) is a Danish film director. He was the fourth signatory of the Dogme95 movement. His feature films as director include ''Et skud fra hjertet'', ''The King is Alive'', ''The Intended'', ''Fear Me Not'', and ''The Salvation''. Early life Kristian Levring was born in 1957 in Copenhagen. He later became a graduate of the National Film School of Denmark. Career Kristian Levring began his career as a documentarian, editing a number of feature-length documentaries and Danish-language feature films during the first two decades of his time as a filmmaker. ''The King Is Alive'' is a 2000 drama film directed by Kristian Levring. The fourth film to be done according to the Dogme 95 rules, it was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. Plot A group of tourists are stranded in the Namibian desert when their bus loses its way and runs out of fuel. Canned carrots and dew keep the tourists alive, but they are helplessly entrapped, completely cut off from the rest of the world.
