Nice (Australian Band)
Nice was an Australian indie rock band which formed in 1991. The band was fronted by Randall Lee formerly of The Cannanes and later of Ashtray Boy on vocals and guitar; Susannah Stewart-Lindsay, previously a member of the Adelaide-based band, Rewind on the Paranoid Side, on guitar; and Jo Packer on drums. Francesca Bussey, later a member of The Cannanes, was a member of Nice on bass guitar during the recording sessions for their first album, ''Nice'' (1992), but left during production and was credited only as a guest. Bussey was replaced on bass guitar by Mark King. Allmusic's Nitsuh Abebe felt that ''Nice'', which was issued by United States label, Feel Good All Over, showed that "Lee's dark jangle sounds absolutely stunning, and while the record's songwriting isn't as consistent as one might hope, the majority of it works incredibly well, with unconventional time signatures and progressions keeping things from falling into strummy banality". The Adventures Of Pete & Pete
''The Adventures of Pete & Pete'' is an American comedy television series created by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi for Nickelodeon. It centers around two brothers, both named Pete Wrigley, and their humorous and surreal adventures in suburbia among their equally eccentric friends, enemies, and neighbors. ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete'' began on Nickelodeon in 1989 as minute-long shorts that aired as interstitials. Owing to the popularity of the shorts, five half-hour specials were made, followed by a regular half-hour series that ran for three seasons from 1993 to 1996. As of October 5, 2015, reruns of the shorts and the shows run on TeenNick as part of the NickSplat block. Jason Ankeny of AllMusic called the series "the greatest children's show ever", while ''IGN'' called it "one of the most well-written kids shows ever". Aden (band)
Aden was an American band which was influenced by 1970s soft rock such as Steely Dan (from whom they borrowed the title of their albums ''Hey 19'' and ''Black Cow''). History Aden was formed at the University of Chicago in 1995, but since 1997 (when original drummer Josh Klein left the band) none of Aden's members has lived in the same city. Although the band has not recorded since 2002, guitarist and banjo player Kevin Barker has continued to play and record solo (as Currituck Co) and has collaborated live and on record with luminaries of the Naturalismo/New Weird America scene such as Vashti Bunyan, Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom and Vetiver. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song.
