Nic. Nilsen
Nicolay William Nilsen (born 1944) is a Norwegian businessperson. He is the current CEO of ''Oslo Lufthavn AS'', the company that manages the Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. He started working at Gardermoen in 1995, overseeing the airport's transition from being second in rank to Oslo Airport, Fornebu into becoming the main airport of Norway. In addition, he is a member of the board of Flytoget AS. When Randi Flesland quit her job as CEO of Avinor in December 2005, Nilsen became acting CEO. In April the next year, Sverre Quale took over on a permanent basis. Nilsen took over as acting CEO again in November 2010. Oslo Airport ( no, Oslo lufthavn; ), alternatively referred to as Oslo Gardermoen Airport or simply Gardermoen, is the international airport serving Oslo, Norway, the capital and most populous city in the country. A hub for Flyr, Norse Atlantic Airways, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Scandinavian Airlines and Widerøe, it connects to 26 domestic and 158 international destinations. The airport is located northeast of Oslo, at Gardermoen at the border of municipalities Nannestad and Ullensaker, in Viken county. It has two parallel roughly north–south runways measuring and and 71 aircraft stands, of which 50 have jet bridges. Oslo Airport, Fornebu ( no, Oslo lufthavn, Fornebu), was the primary international airport serving Oslo and Eastern Norway from 1 June 1939 to 7 October 1998. It was then replaced by Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, and the area has since been redeveloped. The airport was located at Fornebu in Bærum, from the city center. Fornebu had two runways, one 06/24 and one 01/19, and a capacity of 20 aircraft. In 1996, the airport had 170,823 aircraft movements and 10,072,054 passengers. The Airport Express Train ( no, Flytoget) is a Norway, Norwegian high-speed rail, high-speed airport rail link, airport railway service connecting Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, Oslo Airport to Oslo Central Station in nineteen minutes. Run by Flytoget AS (formerly NSB Gardermobanen AS), it operates on the high-speed Gardermoen Line using sixteen GMB Class 71 electric trains. Normal service frequency is once every ten minutes, with five of the services each hour continuing westwards beyond Oslo Central. The extended services serve nine stops within Greater Oslo and take up to 60 minutes. Flytoget transported 5.4 million passengers in 2007, a 34-percent market share of airport ground transport. Randi Runa Svenkerud Flesland (born 17 November 1955 in Oslo) is a Norwegian civil servant. Flesland was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, with education in economics, with addition of psychology and pedagogy in the universities of Oslo and Davis, California. She had several leading positions in Norges Statsbaner, for 17 yrs until 2000, such as head of Intercity, Financial director and finally deputy CEO. She then became director of the Norwegian National Airport Administration; later the agency became Avinor. She was in charge of a substantial restructurering of work processes and increased efficiency in order to make financial room for large safety investments. She resigned December 2005 after a long conflict of interests with the trade unions for traffic controllers. She was instead hired in IBM. Avinor AS is a state-owned limited company that operates most of the civil airports in Norway. The Norwegian state, via the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications, controls 100 percent of the share capital.
