Niall O'Donnell
Niall O'Donnell (born 1998) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for St Eunan's and the Donegal county team. The ''Irish Independents Colm Keys named O'Donnell among his "18 for 08: The brightest young talents" in Gaelic football, describing him as "both elusive and skilful". He is the younger brother of Conor O'Donnell Snr, the eldest of the St Eunan's Conor O'Donnells. Education O'Donnell attended St Eunan's College, where he played for the school team. In 2016, following his Ulster minor title with Donegal, he became the eighth student from the school to win an Ulster Colleges All Star, succeeding — among others — Michael Murphy and Shaun Patton; O'Donnell played alongside Patton in the school team. Hurling
Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. The objective of the game is for players to use an ash wood stick called a hurley (in Irish a ', pronounced or ) to hit a small ball called a ' between the opponent's goalposts either over the crossbar for one point or under the crossbar into a net guarded by a goalkeeper for three points. 2018 Ulster Senior Football Championship
The 2018 Ulster Senior Football Championship was the 130th instalment of the annual Ulster Senior Football Championship organised by Ulster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. The winners receive The Anglo-Celt Cup. The draw for the championship was made on 19 October 2017. Tyrone were the defending champions, though were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The championship was won by Donegal who defeated Fermanagh in the final. Donegal full-forward Patrick McBrearty suffered a season-ending cruciate ligament injury in the final. DUP leader Arlene Foster notably attended the final. Fitzgerald Stadium
Fitzgerald Stadium ( ga, Staid a' Ghearaltaigh) is the principal GAA stadium in Killarney, Ireland, and is the home championship venue for the Kerry senior football team. Named in honour of one of the first great players of the Gaelic Athletic Association, Dick Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald Stadium was officially opened on 31 May 1936 by Dr O'Brien, the then Bishop of Kerry, and J. The 2018 National Football League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Allianz National Football League, was the 87th staging of the National Football League (NFL), an annual Gaelic football tournament for Gaelic Athletic Association county teams. Thirty-one county teams from the island of Ireland, plus London, compete. Kilkenny do not participate. The first six rounds in all four divisions were scheduled to have been played before 24 March 2018, allowing the final round seven matches to be played on that date. Declan Bonner
Declan Bonner (born 11 August 1965) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and manager. He played at senior level for the Donegal county team, winning an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 1992. He later managed the Donegal county team for two spells between 1997 and 2000 and 2017 and 2022, winning two Ulster Senior Football Championships during the latter, while playing as goalkeeper for Na Rossa. Bonner's first spell as manager of the county team, from 1997 until 2000, saw him denied an Ulster Senior Football Championship by a last-minute Joe Brolly goal in the 1998 final. After leading the county minor team to the 2014 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship final, Bonner was given a second chance at the senior job when a vacancy arose in 2017. Jason McGee (born 1997/8) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cloich Cheann Fhaola and the Donegal county team. He is a former Australian rules football trialist. Playing career Minor McGee has an Ulster Minor Football Championship medal. He was part of the team that reached the 2016 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship semi-final. 2016 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship was the Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA's premier inter-county gaelic football competition for under 18's. 32 teams took part. The winners receive the Tom Markham Cup. The 2015 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship, defending champions were Kerry GAA, Kerry who defeated Tipperary GAA, Tipperary in the 2015 final. Kerry beat Galway 3-07 to 0-09 in the final on 18 September 2016 for their third consecutive championship. Teams Thirty two teams contest the championship.
