Niall McKenna
Niall McKenna (born 1994) is a hurling, hurler from Northern Ireland who plays for Antrim Championship club Patrick Sarsfields GAA, Patrick Sarsfields and at inter-county level with the Antrim senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a wing-forward. Career A member of the Patrick Sarsfields GAA, Patrick Sarsfields club in Belfast, McKenna was part of the club's 2017 County Intermediate Championship-winning team. He first came to prominence on the inter-county scene with the Antrim GAA, Antrim minor team that won the Ulster Minor Hurling Championship, Ulster Minor Championship title in 2011. McKenna subsequently won three consecutive Ulster Under-21 Hurling Championship, Ulster Championships with the under-21 team and was at wing-forward for the 2013 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship Final, 2013 All-Ireland U21 final defeat by Wexford GAA, Wexford. The Joe McDonagh Cup is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The 2011 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 81st staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 9 April 2011 and ended on 4 September 2011. The 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup was the third staging of the Joe McDonagh Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2018. The competition was initially scheduled to begin on 10 May 2020 and end on 29 June 2020. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, the first-round games were delayed until 25 October 2020. 2013 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship
The 2013 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship was the 68th installment of the annual Ulster Senior Hurling Championship held under the auspices of the Ulster GAA. Antrim were the defending champions, and secured their twelfth consecutive title in a much delayed final played against Down on 2 February 2014. The delays, which arose from a fixture clash caused by a semi-final draw between Down and Derry, and exacerbated by a ban on inter-county training in the winter of 2013, was heavily criticised for undermining the competition. 2018 Nicky Rackard Cup
The 2018 Nicky Rackard Cup was the 14th staging of the Nicky Rackard Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. It was the fourth tier of senior inter-county hurling as of 2018. The competition began on Saturday 12 May 2018 and ended on Saturday 23 June 2018. Derry were the 2017 champions, beating Armagh in the final. Both teams were promoted to the 2018 Christy Ring Cup as a result of the restructuring of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
