Neythukaran
Neythukaran is a 2002 Malayalam movie, the first directed by Priyanandanan, starring Murali. It tells the story of a weaver, a supporter of E. M. S. Namboodiripad, who dies the day after his leader dies. Murali won the National Film Award for Best Actor in 2002 for his performance in this film. Synopsis Namboodiripad, the leader of the first democratically elected Communist government is dead. (His death was on the same day as the BJP-led government came to power in the centre. This coincidence strengthened the mystic cloud around the man called EMS by his friends). Priyanandanan is an Indian film and drama director from Kerala. His second movie, ''Pulijanmam,'' received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in 2006. Biography Priyanandanan is a native of Vallachira in Thrissur District, Kerala. He was born as the son of Thottipparambil Ramakrishnan and Kochammini Priyanandanan started in career as an actor in stage shows. His career started as a female character. Murali (Malayalam Actor)
Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali ( ml, മുരളി, 25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009) was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films and also many other movies. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Appa Mestry, a communist freedom fighter and professional weaver in the 2002 film '' Neythukaran''. He was known for his powerful portrayal of character roles, lead roles and negative roles. Murali started his film career playing villain roles and soon turned to character acting. He played the leading role in the 1992 film ''Aadhaaram'', which gave a "break" to his career. Vijayaraghavan (born 20 December 1951) is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He is popular for his character roles. He is the son of popular drama and cinema artist N. N.
