Next Boyfriend
"Next Boyfriend" is a song by American country music singer Lauren Alaina. It is the first single from her 2015 self-titled EP and her second studio album, '' Road Less Traveled''. Critical reception According to Jen Swirsky from Nashville Gab, "The song can aptly be described as flirtatiously sexy, while still remaining age appropriate and youth friendly for Lauren's wide array of fans. With a comparatively explosive chorus that demonstrates Lauren's broad vocal range, the quick-witted girl with adorable stage presence and endless humorous quips explains to the man who has caught her attention why he should head her way." One Stop Country states, "This song allows Alaina the chance to re-introduce herself, while also showing her growth and maturity as an artist and songwriter, but she smartly still maintains her youthful sound and age-appropriate lyrics." Song Recordings Produced By Busbee
A song is a musical composition intended to be performed by the human voice. This is often done at distinct and fixed pitches (melodies) using patterns of sound and silence. Songs contain various forms, such as those including the repetition and variation of sections. Written words created specifically for music, or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in classical music it is an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Songs composed in a simple style that are learned informally "by ear" are often referred to as folk songs. Songs that are composed for professional singers who sell their recordings or live shows to the mass market are called popular songs. Country Radio
Country radio refers to radio stations that play country music. Most country radio stations are commercial radio stations. Most country radio stations usually play only music which has been officially released to country radio by record labels. The largest owners of country music stations in the United States include iHeartMedia, Cumulus Media, Audacy, and Townsquare Media. There are more radio stations in the United States specializing in country music (about 2,100 stations) than any other format, out of a total of about 15,000 radio stations in the US. Country radio stations are very influential in the country music industry, compared to other genres of music. Until 2012, only country radio stations were counted in the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart's airplay component, and from 1990 to 2012, country radio was the sole arbiter of a song's position on that chart; the same magazine's Country Airplay chart remains limited solely to country radio stations. ''Lauren Alaina'' is the second extended play recorded by the American country music singer Lauren Alaina, released to digital retailers on October 2, 2015, by Mercury Nashville, Interscope Records and 19 Recordings. It promotes Alaina's second studio album, '' Road Less Traveled'' the follow-up to ''Wildflower'' (2011). Alaina co-wrote all five tracks. Background and promotion In May 2013, Alaina released the country pop-leaning "Barefoot and Buckwild", which she co-wrote, as the purported lead single for her second album. Following the song stalling at a moderate 56 on the Country Airplay chart, promotion for the project seemingly ceased. After undergoing vocal surgery in August 2014, Alaina told the country music blog ''The Boot'' that she was beginning work on a new album with a "more mature" feel. Alaina was selected by ESPN to write and record a promotional single for its college football campaign. Her contribution, "History", was released on August 31, 2015, and was the firs ...
