Nexsound
Nexsound is a Ukraine based independent record label founded by Andrey Kiritchenko in 2000 and was also co-operated by Dmytro Fedorenko (Kotra) from 2003 till July 2007. Founded in 2000, Nexsound has been dedicated to the unusual and experimental music, both acoustic and electronic, released on CDs, cassettes and digital releases. During 8 years of its activity Nexsound released 60 albums from more than 30 artists, such as Muslimgauze, Kim Cascone, Perlonex with Charlemagne Palestine and Keith Rowe, Anla Courtis, Tom Carter, Zavoloka, Kotra, the Moglass, Andrey Kiritchenko and many more. From 2005 to 2007 Nexsound hosts international festival for electronic music and visual arts - ''Detali Zvuku''. In 2007 Nexsound opened up a new series of CDs – ''Nexsound PQP'' (pickup) which is dedicated to music that lies on the edges of pop and experimental music. Zavoloka
Zavoloka (full name, Kateryna Zavoloka) is a contemporary experimental music and electronic music composer, sound artist, improviser, performer and graphic designer from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. She was born in 1981. The word ''zavoloka'' means ''deep fog'' and also ''maverick'' in Ukrainian. Zavoloka's main interests in music are to mix ancient Ukrainian traditions with modern electronic music technology. She combines melodic experimental electronic music with self-recorded Ukrainian folk music. Career In 2003, the Nexsound label released her first album ''Suspenzia''. At the end of 2003 the CD "I" appeared on the American label ''Zeromoon''. Her full-length CD "Plavyna" was debuted at the beginning of 2005 under the Austrian label ''Laton'' and under the Ukrainian label ''Nexsound''. Anla Courtis
Alan Courtis (born February 22, 1972) is an Argentine musician, artist, composer and sound artist. He studied classical guitar, piano, theory and composition. He holds a degree in Communication Science from the University of Buenos Aires, where he currently runs an annual music workshop. He played electric guitar in diverse bands and in 1993 he co-founded the group Reynols. Saralunden
Sara Lunden (performing name Saralunden) (born March 30, 1970, in Gothenburg, Sweden) is a singer, musician and performance artist. She started out making music and performances around 1997 during her art studies at Royal College University of Fine Arts Stockholm where she received an MFA. Since the late 90s she's been developing her own personal musical style mixing influences from disco, schlager, chanson, electronica and minimal wave. Her live performances often involves theatrical costumes and live musicians i.e. ”Deadly Boring” where a men's choir, adds a background for her vocals. Francisco López is an avant-garde experimental musician and sound artist. He has released a large amount of sound pieces with record labels from more than fifty countries and realized hundreds of concerts and sound installations worldwide; including some of the main international museums, galleries and festivals, such as: P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center (New York City), London Institute of Contemporary Arts, Paris Museum of Modern Art, National Auditorium of Music, Reina Sofia Museum of Modern Art, Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Sónar, Darwin Fringe Festival, Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art. Kim Cascone
Kim Cascone (December 21, 1955) is an Italian American composer of electronic music who is known for his releases in the ambient, drone, industrial and electro-acoustic genre on his own record label, Silent Records. Biography In 1989 Cascone became an assistant music editor for director David Lynch on ''Twin Peaks'' and '' Wild At Heart''. Musically he has used various aliases over the years but became best known under the moniker Heavenly Music Corporation, a name taken from a track on the record ''(No Pussyfooting)'' by Brian Eno and Robert Fripp. Cascone released four full albums under this name from 1993 to 1996. In 1996 Cascone sold Silent Records and Pulsoniq Distribution to work as a sound designer/composer for Thomas Dolby's company Beatnik.
