Newport High School is a comprehensive public high school serving students in grades nine through twelve in Newport, Arkansas, United States. It is the sole high school administered by the Newport School District. Academics The assumed course of study at Newport High School exceeds the Smart Core curriculum developed by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). Students engage in regular and Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and exams to obtain at least 24 units beyond the 22 units required by the Smart Core curriculum. Exceptional students have been recognized as National Merit Finalists and participated in Arkansas Governor's School. Newport High School is a public high school located in Newport, Oregon, United States. It is one of five high schools in the Lincoln County School District. As of 2008, the school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Academics In 2008, 67% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Of 211 students, 141 graduated, 44 dropped out, five received a modified diploma, and 21 were still in high school in 2009. Newport High School is a diminutive, rural, public high school located in Newport, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Newport School District. Newport High School serves the borough of Newport; Buffalo Township, Howe Township, Juniata Township, Miller Township, and Oliver Township. In 2016, there were 311 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. Extracurriculars Newport Schools offer a full range of extracurricular activities, including: sports, band and orchestra, chorus, and a wide variety of clubs and organizations. Newport High School (NHS) is a public high school in Bellevue, Washington. It serves students in grades 9–12 in the southern part of the Bellevue School District, including the neighborhoods of Eastgate, Factoria, Newport Hills, Newport Shores, Somerset, The Summit, and Sunset. Admissions There are about 1,100 pupils from a catchment area to the north western side of Newport. History The school's origin can be dated back to the foundation in 1896 of separate Boys' and Girls' intermediate schools in Newport. Subsequently the High School name was adopted. Following the implementation of comprehensive education the school(s) eventually moved from Queen's Hill to Bettws Lane.
