New York State Route 9P
New York State Route 9P (NY 9P) is a state highway in central Saratoga County, New York, in the United States. It is an alternate route off U.S. Route 9 between Malta and Saratoga Springs that connects US 9 to the eastern shore of Saratoga Lake. NY 9P meets NY 423 in the town of Stillwater and Interstate 87 in Saratoga Springs. In its final mile, NY 9P serves the Saratoga Race Course. Route description NY 9P begins at an intersection with US 9 in Malta. NY 9P proceeds eastward from US 9 as a two-lane residential street through Malta, passing the Bass Manor Museum. The route bends northeastward and soon southward along the shore of Saratoga Lake. At Saratoga Lake, NY 9P intersects with CR 108 (Plains Road) before heading southeast and away from the shore. Saratoga National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park located in the Town of Stillwater in eastern New York, 30 miles north of Albany. The park preserves the site of the Battles of Saratoga. Description The park preserves the site of the Battles of Saratoga, the first significant American military victory of the American Revolutionary War. Here in 1777, American forces met, defeated, and forced a major British army to surrender, an event which led France to recognize the independence of the United States, and enter the war as a decisive military ally of the struggling Americans. Canfield Casino and Congress Park is a site in Saratoga Springs, New York, Saratoga Springs, New York, United States. It was formerly the site of the Congress Hotel (also called Congress Hall), a large resort hotel, and the Congress Spring Bottling Plant, as well as Canfield Casino, which together brought Saratoga Springs international fame as a health spa and gambling site.
