New York Giants Radio Network
The New York Giants Radio Network is a broadcast radio network based in New York City, the official radio broadcaster of the National Football League's New York Giants. The network's radio broadcasts are currently flagshipped at WFAN, a station owned by Entercom Communications. Overflow radio casts air on WCBS, WFAN's corporate sibling. The network distributes Giants home and away games to a network of 18 stations in three states. WIRY is an AM radio station licensed to Plattsburgh, New York. The locally owned and operated radio station broadcasts at 1340 kHz in C-QUAM AM stereo into a Valcom whip antenna (one of the only stations to do so) with a full service variety format. WIRY is primarily music-formatted, featuring an eclectic variety of formats. The station describes its format as a mix of adult contemporary, country music, and oldies. WSGO (1440 AM) is a commercial radio station, licensed to Oswego, New York, and serving the northern suburbs of the Syracuse metropolitan area. The station is owned by Galaxy Communications and airs a sports radio format. The station, like most of Galaxy Communications' Oswego cluster, is a direct repeater of a Syracuse sister station, in WSGO's case, AM 1200 WTLA. Like WTLA, it simulcasts its programming full-time on a 220 watt FM translator, W261AC, at 100.1 MHz). WSGO operates at 1,000 watts by day. But at night, when radio waves travel farther, it reduces power to only 45 watts to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 1440. North Syracuse, New York
North Syracuse is a village in Onondaga County, New York, United States. The population was 6,800 at the 2010 census. North Syracuse is located in the towns of Cicero and Clay, north of the city of Syracuse. History The village was originally called Centerville and changed to its present name in 1880. It became an incorporated village in 1925. Among the first settlers, the Fergerson family located there in 1826. They still occupy the same land located in what is now the village center. Little Falls is a city in Herkimer County, New York. The population was 4,946 at the time of the 2010 census, which is the second-smallest city population in the state, ahead of only the city of Sherrill. The city is built on both sides of the Mohawk River, at a point at which rapids had impeded travel upriver. WIXT is an AM radio station broadcasting on a frequency of 1230 kHz and licensed to the city of Little Falls, New York. Owned by Galaxy Communications, the station airs a variety hits format under the branding ''Tony FM 99.1''. History of WIXT WIXT signed on June 22, 1952 under the call letters WLFH (the call letters stood for Little Falls and nearby Herkimer, two of its primary communities). It was the first full-time radio station in Herkimer County. The 1230 frequency had previously been occupied by WIBX in nearby Utica from 1941 until it moved to the 950 frequency in 1947.
