New York's 22nd State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Democrat Simcha Felder since 2023. Geography District 22 is located in southern Brooklyn, encompassing part or all of the neighborhoods of Borough Park, Midwood, Madison, Homecrest, Gravesend, Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Marine Park. Simcha Felder
Simcha Felder (born December 30, 1958) is an American politician from Borough Park, Brooklyn. He represents the 17th district of the New York State Senate. Felder has been elected to multiple offices as a Democrat, but is known for having caucused with the Republicans during the early part of his New York State Senate tenure. Prior to serving in the State Senate, Felder represented the 44th district in the New York City Council. Career Early in his career, Felder served as chief of staff to Democratic New York State Assembly member Dov Hikind. New York City Council Felder was elected to the New York City Council in District 44 in 2001. He was re-elected in 2005 and 2009. New York's 11th Congressional District
New York's 11th congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives in New York City. The 11th district includes all of Staten Island and parts of southern Brooklyn, including the neighborhoods of Bay Ridge, Bath Beach, Dyker Heights, south western Gravesend, western Sheepshead Bay, and parts of southern Bensonhurst. The 11th District is currently represented by Republican Nicole Malliotakis, who is currently the only Republican to represent any part of New York City in Congress. Malliotakis was first elected in 2020, defeating one-term incumbent Democrat Max Rose. The district's character is very different from the rest of New York City. The New York State Board of Elections is a bipartisan agency of the New York state government within the New York State Executive Department responsible for enforcement and administration of election-related laws.
