New York's 10th congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives currently represented by Democrat Jerry Nadler. The district contains the southern portion of Morningside Heights, the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the west side of Midtown Manhattan, the west side of Lower Manhattan, including Greenwich Village, Tribeca, and the Financial District, and parts of western Brooklyn, most notably Borough Park, Midwood, and parts of Bensonhurst. With a size of , the district is the second-smallest by total area in the country, after . Demographically, New York’s 10th district has the largest number (270,000) and the highest percentage of Jews (37.6%) of any congressional district, largely as a result of the fact that it includes several neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn that are heavily Jewish. New York State Route 10
New York State Route 10 (NY 10) is a north–south state highway in the Central New York and North Country regions of New York in the United States. It extends for from the Quickway ( NY 17) (Future Interstate 86) in Deposit, Delaware County to NY 8 at Higgins Bay, a hamlet in the Hamilton County town of Arietta. NY 10 begins concurrent with NY 8. While NY 8 follows a more westerly alignment between Deposit and Higgins Bay via Utica, NY 10 veers to the east, serving Delhi, Cobleskill, and Canajoharie. Along the way, the road intersects Interstate 88 (I-88) near Cobleskill and U.S. Route 20 (US 20) in Sharon Springs. NY 10 was assigned in 1924; however, it initially followed a completely different alignment than it does today.
