New Warriors
The New Warriors is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They traditionally consisted of teenage and young adult heroes, and were often seen to serve as a junior counterpart to Avengers (comics), The Avengers in much the same way that the New Mutants/X-Force did with the X-Men. They made a cameo appearance in ''Thor (Marvel Comics), The Mighty Thor'' #411 (December 1989) and made their full debut in ''The Mighty Thor'' #412. Over the years, the New Warriors, in their various incarnations, have been featured in five different volumes. The New Warriors team was created by editor Tom DeFalco, who brought together existing Marvel characters Firestar (Marvel Comics), Firestar, Vance Astrovik, Marvel Boy, Namorita, Nova (Richard Rider), Nova, and Robbie Baldwin, Speedball, and added the newly created Night Thrasher (Dwayne Taylor), Night Thrasher. Marcus To (born 20 October 1983) is a Canadian comic book artist who currently works for Marvel Comics as the artist for ''Excalibur (comics), Excalibur''. He is best known for his work on Red Robin (comic book), Red Robin, ''Huntress (comics), Huntress'' and ''Soulfire (comics), Soulfire''. Jay Faerber
Jay Faerber (born 1972) is an American comic book and television writer. Faerber is known for his work on ''Generation X'' and ''New Warriors'' for Marvel Comics, and '' The Titans'' and '' Connor: Spotlight'' for DC Comics. He later wrote his own creator-owned titles for Image Comics, including ''Noble Causes'', ''Dynamo 5'', '' Near Death'' and ''Copperhead''. He was also a writer on the TV series '' Ringer'', ''Star-Crossed'' and ''Zoo''. Currently he writes for The CW TV series ''Supergirl''. X-Force
X-Force is a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men. Conceived by writer/illustrator Rob Liefeld, the team first appeared in ''New Mutants#New Mutants Vol. 1, New Mutants'' #100 (April 1991) and soon afterwards was featured in its own series called ''X-Force (comic book), X-Force''. The group was originally a revamped version of the 1980s team, the New Mutants. X-Force's first leader was the Mutant (Marvel Comics), mutant Cable (comics), Cable. Avengers (comics)
The Avengers are a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team made its debut in '' The Avengers'' #1 (cover-dated Sept. 1963), created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby. Labeled "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", the original Avengers consisted of Iron Man, Ant-Man, Hulk, Thor and the Wasp.
