''New Spring'' is a fantasy novel by American author Robert Jordan, a prequel in the ''Wheel of Time'' series. ''New Spring'' consists of 26 chapters and an epilogue. Background to publication "New Spring" was originally published as a novella in the speculative fiction anthology edited by Robert Silverberg entitled '' Legends: Short Novels by the Masters of Modern Fantasy''. Published by Tor Books, this anthology was released on 15 September 1999, between the 1998 publication of ''The Path of Daggers'' (Book 8 of ''The Wheel of Time'') and 2000 publication of '' Winter's Heart'' (Book 9). Charles Dixon (born April 14, 1954) is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher and on the DC Comics characters Batman, Nightwing, and Robin in the 1990s and early 2000s.
