L'Ordine Nuovo
''L'Ordine Nuovo'' (Italian for "The New Order") was a weekly newspaper established on 1 May 1919, in Turin, Italy, by a group, including Antonio Gramsci, Angelo Tasca and Palmiro Togliatti, within the Italian Socialist Party. The paper was the successor of ''La Città futura'', a broadsheet newspaper. The founders of ''L'Ordine Nuovo'' were admirers of the Russian Revolution and strongly supported the immediate creation of soviets in Italy. They believed that existing factory councils of workers could be strengthened so that they could become the basis of a communist revolution. However, Amadeo Bordiga, who would become the founder of the Communist Party of Italy, criticised the plan as syndicalism, saying that soviets should only be created after Italy had come under communist control. Initially the newspaper, which was founded with union backing, focused on cultural politics, but in June 1919, the month following its founding, Gramsci and Togliatti pushed Tasca out and re- ...

New Order (Galactic Alliance)
The Galactic Republic, often referred to as simply the Republic, is a fictional galactic polity depicted in the ''Star Wars'' universe, where it existed prior to the establishment of the Galactic Empire. The Republic is most prominently portrayed in the prequel trilogy of films in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. In the original trilogy, set later in time, it is referred to as the Old Republic. The Republic is portrayed as a democratic republic that has sustained itself peacefully for over twenty-five thousand years, but was tied up in layers of bureaucracy. It was mainly overseen by the Senate, a body in the Legislative Branch of the Republic government. It was protected by the Jedi Order, the guardians of peace and justice throughout the Star Wars galaxy. After the end of the Galactic Empire, the New Republic was founded. It was enforced by the original Rebellion, eventually known as the New Republic Military. The consolidation of the New Republic is depicted in ''The Mandalor ...

New World Order (politics)
The term "new world order" refers to a new period of history evidencing dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power in international relations. Despite varied interpretations of this term, it is primarily associated with the ideological notion of world governance only in the sense of new collective efforts to identify, understand, or address global problems that go beyond the capacity of individual nation-states to solve. The phrase "new world order" or similar language was used in the period toward the end of the First World War in relation to Woodrow Wilson's vision for international peace;A search of the American Presidency Project for the exact phras"new world order"returned no hits for President Woodrow Wilson, but it is the case that Wilson used the phras"new order of the world"in a speech giveSeptember 9, 1919 to the University of Minnesota Armory in Minneapolis and that he also used the phras"new international order"in a speech giveFebruary 11, 1918 ...

Nizam-i Djedid
The Nizam-i Cedid ( ota, نظام جديد, Niẓām-ı Cedīd, lit=new order) was a series of reforms carried out by Ottoman Sultan Selim III during the late 18th and the early 19th centuries in a drive to catch up militarily and politically with the Western powers. The New Order regime was launched by Selim III and a coalition of reformers. Its central objectives were the creation of a professional army along European lines, a private treasury to finance military spending and other administrative reforms. The age of the New Order can be generally said to have lasted from 1789 to 1807, when Selim III was deposed by a Janissary coup. While the term “New Order” eventually came to encompass all of Selim III's reforms, the name was used contemporaneously to refer only to the reform's central innovation: the New Order Army. That army was largely a failure in its own time but reflected an important step in the stages of Ottoman attempts at reform. Selim III's desire for an army ...

Novus Ordo Missae
The Mass of Paul VI, also known as the Ordinary Form or Novus Ordo, is the most commonly used liturgy in the Catholic Church. It is a form of the Latin Church's Roman Rite and was promulgated by Pope Paul VI in 1969, published by him in the 1970; it was then revised in the 1975 edition of the Roman Missal, then further revised by Pope John Paul II in 2000, and published in a third edition in 2002. It largely displaced usage of the Tridentine Mass, promulgated in 1570, the final edition of which had been published in 1962 under the title ''Missale Romanum ex decreto SS. Concilii Tridentini restitutum'' (''The Roman Missal restored by decree of the Most Holy Council of Trent''). The editions of the Mass of Paul VI Roman Missal (1970, 1975, 2002) have as title ''Missale Romanum ex decreto Sacrosancti Oecumenici Concilii Vaticani II instauratum'' (''The Roman Missal renewed by decree of the Most Holy Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican''), followed in the case of the 2002 edi ...

Novus Ordo Seclorum
The phrase ''Novus ōrdō sēclōrum'' (, ; "New order of the ages") is the second of two mottos added by the secretary of the Congress of the Confederation, Charles Thomson, on the reverse (the back side) of the Great Seal of the United States (the first motto is '' Annuit cœptis''). Origin and phrase meaning The phrase is a reference to the fourth ''Eclogue'' of Virgil, which contains a passage (lines 5-8) that reads: The forms ''saecla'', ''saeclorum'' etc. were normal alternatives to the more common ''saecula'' etc. throughout the history of Latin poetry and prose. The form ''saeculorum'' is impossible in hexameter verse: the ''ae'' and ''o'' are long, the ''u'' short by position. The word ''seclorum'' does not mean "secular", but is the genitive (possessive) plural form of the word ''saeculum'', meaning (in this context) generation, century, or age. ''Saeculum'' did come to mean "age, world" in late, Christian Latin, and "secular" is derived from it, through ''secu ...

It was written, directed, produced and edited by Michel Franco and is a French-Mexican co-production. The film had its world premiere on September 10, 2020 at the Venice Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize. Cobra (1986 Film)
''Cobra'' is a 1986 American action film directed by George P. Cosmatos and written by Sylvester Stallone, who also starred in the title role. The film co-stars Reni Santoni, Brigitte Nielsen and Andrew Robinson. It is the first film in which Brian Thompson plays a prominent role. The film was loosely based on the novel ''Fair Game'' by Paula Gosling, which was later filmed under that title in 1995. However, Stallone's screenplay was originally conceived from ideas he had during pre-production of '' Beverly Hills Cop'', whose screenplay he heavily revised. He had wanted to make ''Beverly Hills Cop'' a less comedic and more action-oriented film, which the studio rejected as being far too expensive. When he left that project, Eddie Murphy was brought in to play the lead role. The film received generally negative reviews, with much criticism focused on the overuse of genre tropes and excessive violence. It debuted at the number one spot on the U.S. box office, and earned $49 mil ...
