New Lantau Bus
The New Lantao Bus Company (1973) Limited, commonly known as New Lantao Bus or NLB, is a franchised bus company operating in Hong Kong. It mainly operates bus routes on Lantau Island. History NLB was formed in 1973 through the merger of three bus companies operated by residents of Lantau Island, and became the third franchised bus company on 1 April 1974. In January 1992, NLB became a subsidiary of Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings. NLB's franchise was extended on 1 April 1997 to run until 31 March 2007. It was extended again until 1 March 2017. The current franchise runs from 1 March 2017 to 1 March 2027. Before the construction of Tung Chung New Town, almost all of NLB's routes terminated at Mui Wo. During that time when there were no major towns on Lantau Island, most of the company's routes aimed at connecting the smaller villages around the island to the ferry at Mui Wo. Alexander Dennis Enviro400
The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 is a twin-axle low-floor double-decker bus that was built by the British bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis between 2005 and 2018. It replaced the Alexander ALX400, Dennis Trident (from which the Enviro400 was developed) and Plaxton President. In 2014, the Enviro400 was succeeded by the updated Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC and production of the classic Enviro400 ceased in 2018. The Enviro400 is available both as an integral bus and as a standalone bodywork and chassis. Hong Kong–Shenzhen Western Corridor
The Hong Kong–Shenzhen Western Corridor, also known for the main component Shenzhen Bay Bridge, is a cross-border highway between Shenzhen, Guangdong Province and Hong Kong. The highway bridge is a dual three-lane controlled-access highway. It connects Ngau Hom Shek (), Hong Kong, to Dongjiaotou, which is administratively located in Nanshan District of Shenzhen. The corridor also had other components, a border checkpoint Shenzhen Bay Port, built on reclaimed land, as well as roads that connect the corridor to the existing road network of Shenzhen. The highway bridge is part of Route 10 of the Hong Kong trunk road numbering system, the only other existing part being the Kong Sham Western Highway, formerly known as Deep Bay Link. Shenzhen Bay Port () is a juxtaposed border crossing and a port of entry and exit between mainland China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, located geographically in Dongjiaotou, Shekou, which lies on the southwestern corner of the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. The port of entry and exit consists of a cross-boundary passenger terminal building, where the counterparts of mainland China and the Hong Kong SAR are co-located. A "Shenzhen Bay Port Hong Kong Port Area", including part of the building and its adjacent area, and the entire length of the bridge on Chinese waters, is placed under Hong Kong jurisdiction under a lease until 30 June 2047, the eve of the 50th anniversary of the SAR. Yuen Long District
Yuen Long District (formerly romanised as Un Long) is one of the districts of Hong Kong. Located in the northwest of the New Territories, it had a population of 662,000 in 2021 Geography Yuen Long District contains the largest alluvial plain in Hong Kong, the Yuen Long-Kam Tin plain. Deep Bay is a bay between Yuen Long District, in the New Territories, Hong Kong and the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. It is otherwise known as Hau Hoi Wan () in Hong Kong, and Shenzhen Bay () in Mainland China. Name The local Cantonese name of the bay is Hau Hoi Wan (), which means the ''back (sea) bay''. It is opposite to another bay, Tsin Hoi Wan (), which means ''front (sea) bay'', on the other side of Nantau Peninsula. The Chinese character 后 (Hau, lit. queen) in 后海灣 is the homonym of 後 (Hau, lit. back), and also its simplified character. Some attribute the character 后 (Hau) to the goddess of mercy and sea, Tin Hau (). The name of Shenzhen Bay came much later, at least after the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in 1980. Yuen Long () is an MTR station in the north-eastern part of Yuen Long Town, New Territories, Hong Kong, on the between and . It is an interchange between the and Yuen Long stop of the system.
