New Hampshire Route 150
New Hampshire Route 150 (abbreviated NH 150) is a north–south state highway in Rockingham County in southeastern New Hampshire, United States. Route description The road runs from Kensington south to the Massachusetts border. The southern terminus of NH 150 is at the Massachusetts state line in South Hampton, where the road continues south as Massachusetts Route 150 in the town of Amesbury. The northern terminus of NH 150 is at New Hampshire Route 108 in Kensington. For most of its length, NH 150 is named Amesbury Road. Amesbury, Massachusetts
Amesbury is a city in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States, located on the left bank of the Merrimack River near its mouth, upstream from Salisbury and across the river from Newburyport and West Newbury. The population was 17,366 at the 2020 United States Census. A former farming and mill town, Amesbury is today largely residential. It is one of the two northernmost towns in Massachusetts (the other being neighboring Salisbury). History Settlement period In 1637, the first English settler in the Salisbury-Amesbury region, John Bayly, crossed the Merrimack River from the new settlement at Newbury, built a log cabin, and began to clear the land for cultivation. Exeter Incident
The Exeter incident or Incident at Exeter was a highly publicized UFO sighting that occurred on September 3, 1965, approximately south of Exeter, New Hampshire, in the neighboring town of Kensington. Although several separate sightings had been made in the area by numerous witnesses in the weeks leading up to the specific incident, it was the September 3 sighting which eventually became by far the most famous, involving a local teenager and two police officers. In 2011, ''Skeptical Inquirer'' offered an explanation of the incident, based on details reported by the eyewitnesses.
