Neville Hughes
Neville Hughes (1 June 1945 – 28 June 2015) was a British actor in the 1960s and 1970s. Later he was a successful businessman in the motor manufacturer sales and marketing sector. John David Howell Hughes was born in 1945 at St. Clears, Wales. He was educated at Eagle House Prep School and Radley College where he was a brilliant young stage actor. He started to train as a doctor at St Thomas' Hospital, but gave it up. After joining RADA in 1965, and working in repertory theatre, Hughes made his television debut in "The Man and the Hour". The following year he made his debut in ''Crossroads'', for which he is best known, as Rev Peter Hope, where he played opposite Sue Nicholls. He was also in the very first episode of '' Dad's Army'' in 1968. Following this success he continued to appear in the role of Rev Peter Hope in ''Crossroads'' for four years. Department S (TV Series)
''Department S'' is a British spy-fi adventure series, produced by ITC Entertainment. It consists of 28 episodes which originally aired in 1969 and 1970. It stars Peter Wyngarde as author Jason King (later featured in spin-off series '' Jason King''), Joel Fabiani as Stewart Sullivan, and Rosemary Nicols as computer expert Annabelle Hurst. These three are agents for a fictional special department (the "S" of the title) of Interpol. The head of Department S is Sir Curtis Seretse (Dennis Alaba Peters). Production "When a case proves too baffling for the minds of Interpol, they turn to the talents of Department S." – from the ITC trailer for the series. Peter Sellers
Peter Sellers (born Richard Henry Sellers; 8 September 1925 – 24 July 1980) was an English actor and comedian. He first came to prominence performing in the BBC Radio comedy series ''The Goon Show'', featured on a number of hit comic songs and became known to a worldwide audience through his many film roles, among them Chief Inspector Clouseau in '' The Pink Panther'' series. Born in Southsea, Portsmouth, Sellers made his stage debut at the Kings Theatre, Southsea, when he was two weeks old. He began accompanying his parents in a variety act that toured the provincial theatres. He first worked as a drummer and toured around England as a member of the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA). He developed his mimicry and improvisational skills during a spell in Ralph Reader's wartime Gang Show entertainment troupe, which toured Britain and the Far East. ''Soft Beds, Hard Battles'' is a 1974 British comedy film directed by Roy Boulting, starring Peter Sellers (in several roles), Curt Jurgens, Lila Kedrova and Jenny Hanley. Sellers reunited with the Boulting brothers for this farce, in which the women of a brothel help the war effort to rid the world of the Nazi peril - in the bedroom. The film took a limited release; in the United States, it was released under the title ''Undercovers Hero''. Plot Set in Nazi-occupied France, the story follows Major Robinson of the British Army. The Protectors
''The Protectors'' is a British television series, an action thriller created by Gerry Anderson. It was Anderson's second TV series to exclusively use live actors as opposed to marionettes (following ''UFO''), and his second to be firmly set in contemporary times (following ''The Secret Service''). It was also the only Gerry Anderson–produced television series that was not of the fantasy or science fiction genres. It was produced by Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment production company.
