Neviana Vladinova
Neviana Stanimirova Vladinova ( bg, Невяна Станимирова Владинова, born 23 February 1994) is a retired Bulgarian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2017 World bronze medalist with ball, and was seventh in the all-around at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Career Career beginnings Born in Pleven, Bulgaria, Vladinova began competitive gymnastics in 2000. She appeared in international junior competitions in 2006 and began competing as a senior in 2011 season. In 2013, Vladinova competed at the World Cup series and Grand Prix series. She was in the Bulgarian team that competed at the 2013 European Championships. Vladinova retired on November 17, 2020, due to a neck injury. Pleven
Pleven ( bg, Плèвен ) is the seventh most populous city in Bulgaria. Located in the northern part of the country, it is the administrative centre of Pleven Province, as well as of the subordinate Pleven municipality. Marina Durunda
Marina Sergeyevna Durunda (born 12 June 1997) ( az, Marina Sergey qızı Durunda;russian: Марина Сергеевна Дурунда) is a retired Ukrainian-born Azerbaijani individual rhythmic gymnast. Durunda started her senior career in 2013, and soon became the leader of the Azerbaijani gymnastics and a three-time (2013-2015) national champion. She won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Championship in Minsk, and a silver medal at the inaugural 2015 European Games in Baku. Marina represented Azerbaijan at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, and finished 9th in the all-around final. Career Junior Durunda began practicing rhythmic gymnastics in 2001 at age four in Sevastopol. At age six, she and her family moved to Cyprus, where for seven years until 2012 she was the national champion and won all competitions of Cyprus. Gymnastics At The 2015 European Games
Gymnastics competitions at the 2015 European Games were held in the National Gymnastics Arena, Baku between 15–21 June 2015. In all, five different gymnastics disciplines were contested. In addition to the existing Olympic programme, additional events were held in both the rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining disciplines. In addition, events in two non-Olympic disciplines, aerobic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics were included. Qualification A total of 425 athletes qualified for the gymnastics competitions. Qualification was based on the results from the World or European Championships in each discipline. 2015 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Series
The 2015 FIG World Cup circuit in Rhythmic Gymnastics includes seven category B events. Except for Bucharest, which is a competition for individuals only, all tournaments feature Individual and Group competitions. The All-around medal event also serves as qualification for the apparatus finals. With six stopovers in Europe and one in Asia, the competitions took place on March 26–29 in Lisbon (POR), April 3–5 in Bucharest (ROU), April 10 – 12 in Pesaro (ITA), May 22 – 24 in Tashkent (UZB), August 7 – 9 in Budapest (HUN), August 14–16 in Sofia (BUL), and August 21–23 in Kazan (RUS). 2014 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships
The 2014 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, the 33rd edition, was held in İzmir, Turkey, from September 21 to 28, 2014 at the İzmir Halkapınar Sport Hall. Yana Kudryavtseva of the Russian Federation became the youngest rhythmic gymnast to win back-to-back individual all-around titles in the World Championships at 16 years old. She was also awarded the Longines Prize for elegance, which saw her receive $5,000, a statue by Swiss artist Jean-Pierre Gerber, and a watch. Victoria Veinberg Filanovsky
Victoria Filanovsky ( he, ויקטוריה פילנובסקי ויינברג) (born February 23, 1995 in Saint Petersburg, Russia) is a retired Israeli individual rhythmic gymnast. Personal life Filanovsky speaks Hebrew, Russian and English. Career Veinberg Filanovsky became a member of the Israeli Gymnastics National Team in 2008. She competed at the 2010 European Junior Championships in Bremen where she qualified to two event finals, finishing 6th in rope and 5th in clubs, as well as qualifying in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games where she finished 6th in the all-around. Veinberg Filanovsky's first senior international competition was in the 2011 season, competing in her first Worlds at the 2011 World Championships in Montpellier, France and placing 39th in qualifications. Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. It became an Olympic sport in 1984, with an individual all-around event. The group all-around competition was added to the Olympics in 1996. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport.
