Neverland (WJSN EP)
''Neverland'' is the eighth extended play by South Korean-Chinese girl group WJSN. It was released on June 9, 2020, by Starship Entertainment and distributed by Kakao M. It contains a total of six songs, including the lead single "Butterfly". Members Cheng Xiao, Meiqi and Xuanyi were not a part of the album release due to the scheduling conflicts in China. Background and release On May 11, 2020, WJSN revealed through its official social media accounts that the group would release a new mini-album. The tracklist was revealed on May 17. ''Neverland'' and the music video for "Butterfly" were released on June 9. Composition The title track was composed and co-written by Galactika, the music production team behind Itzy's biggest hits. WJSN (; ), also known as Cosmic Girls, is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment. The group debuted on February 25, 2016, with the extended play ''Would You Like?'' and with twelve members: Seola, Xuanyi, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Meiqi, Yeoreum and Dayoung. In July 2016, WJSN added a thirteenth member, Yeonjung, to the group. ''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet. The show features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday. Live streaming is available internationally via the ''M Countdown On Air'' page on Mwave's website. In the Philippines, online multi-view live broadcast of the show is available via gigafest.smart. It began airing on the free-to-air TV5 network from January 31, 2021, however due to low ratings on the network, it will conclude on March 6, 2022. SBS M is a South Korean pay television music channel owned by SBS Medianet, a division of SBS Media Holdings.
