''Never Mind the Quality Feel the Width'' is a rarely seen 1973 British comedy film directed by Ronnie Baxter and starring John Bluthal, Joe Lynch and Bernard Stone. It was a spin-off from the ITV television series ''Never Mind the Quality, Feel the Width'' about two mismatched tailors in the East End of London. Plot In the course of the film, Manny and Patrick hire a sexy new assistant Rita, seriously fall out after a gambling incident, experience woman trouble, find themselves burgled, and eventually end up on holiday in Rome after posing as priests. Harry Driver
Harry Driver (13 May 1931 – 25 November 1973) was a British television scriptwriter and executive producer. He is best remembered for his partnership with Vince Powell on comedy television programmes including '' Never Mind The Quality Feel The Width'', ''Nearest and Dearest'', '' Bless This House'' and ''Love Thy Neighbour''. Biography Driver formed an amateur comedy act with Vince Powell known as Hammond and Powell, which performed in the Northern club circuit. Driver developed polio in December 1955. According to the BFI Screenonline, he spent "the next 18 months in hospital (12 of them in an iron lung), and, unable to move his arms and legs, the rest of his life in a wheelchair. ... David Kelly (actor)
David Kelly (11 July 1929 – 12 February 2012) was an Irish actor who had regular roles in several film and television works from the 1950s onwards. One of the most recognisable voices and faces of Irish stage and screen, Kelly was known for his roles as Rashers Tierney in '' Strumpet City'', Cousin Enda in ''Me Mammy'', the builder Mr O'Reilly in ''Fawlty Towers'', Albert Riddle in '' Robin's Nest'', and Grandpa Joe in the film ''Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'' (2005). Patrick Francis Joyce (31 May 1923 — 27 July 2000) was an actor in film and television. Biography Joyce was born in Trieste, Italy. His father was Frantisek Schaurek, a Czech banker who had stolen money from the Živnostenská Bank in Trieste where he worked and committed suicide in 1926.
